The Wanderer watched from a far as he viewed the dancer's performance. The Nilotpala Lotuses compliment the dancer's pyro vision. But this was no ordinary dancer as it was the Wanderer's very close "friend".
As for how this happened, well this is what this story is going to tell.

Wanderer didn't have any interest in the subject of love or having a romantic partner as he was afraid of history repeating and plus he didn't find anyone attractive. That was until his eyes landed on you, the recent newest dancer to the Zubayr Theatre.
Your e/c , your beautifully designed h/c hair , and your warm atmosphere.
He never bothered to approach you though until you got yourself into a little mix up. The two fatui guards cornered you as they demanded you to give them directions, the anemoboxer rose it's fist as it aimed a punch at you . You prepared for a hard punch in the head until you heard someone fall to the ground. Opening your eyes , you saw a relatively short , anemo user as he beat the two fatui guards up. " None of you ever change." He muttered as he knocked the pyro slinger unconscious.

You were in shock at how he defeated them so quickly but then again he did seem to know what he was doing unlike you who only used your vision as a night light.

"Thank you.." you said as the boy looked at you. " Don't mention it, I must be going now." He began walking away before you grabbed his shoulder. " Is there at least a way I can show my gratitude, perhaps treat you to some food?" The boy looked at you before sighing giving in to his temptation.
"Fine."
The both of you walked to Lambad's Tavern , as the atmosphere seemed to brighten. Once the both of you were seated , it wasn't long until your orders were taken.
" Four Pita Pockets , Two Lambad Fish rolls , Three Shawarma wraps and uh-"
You looked at the boy to see his expression absolutely shocked , before he eventually snapped out of it seeing you signal for him to order. " Some Shimi Chazuke." Lambad nodded before going to the back , there was awkward silence as you always attempted to stir a conversation. It wasn't until Lambad asked if you guys wanted desserts , which you ordered charcoal baked ajilenakh cake. "Here you go , enjoy!"
You began eating meanwhile the wanderer didn't. This took notice with you asking, "Do you not like eating desserts?" ," No , I despise them." He answered looking at the ground.
"Oh come on , try them at least." You pleaded, so the rest of the time you tried to get him to try the cake. ( You failed , miserably)

" I will one day get you to eat it." You exclaimed, the Wanderer scoffed. " Good luck with that ."

Ever since then you both of you ate lunch together, with you trick him into eating desserts. Failing miserably for 3 entire months.... It wasn't until a faithful evening where you snuck an piece of dessert cake in Wanderer's food , which he ate.
He looked at your smirking face as you smiled in triumph of your goal.
"So how was it~"
"It tasted ... Weird."
"How so~"
"It wasn't bitter , and it had a sweeter taste almost as if- Y/n ..."
"Mmm?~"
" You have 6 seconds to run before I f*cking kill you."

You immediately ran for the hills as you silently prayed for Greater Lord Rukkhadevata protection from the anemo user chasing you."GET BACK HERE , Y/N!"
"IN YOUR DREAMS PIPSQUEAK!"
You laughed before eventually getting caught and nearly dying .

-Time Skip ;) - a few months later

The winds changed once again for Wanderer. Ever since he laid you , food tasted a lot more like food. As now he could pick out if you sabotaged his food with cake again.
He didn't think his feelings for you were genuine enough though until now.
"Uh- Don't you think this is too - how do I put it.. Revealing?" You asked your friend Nilou. "Nope , you're no longer a trainee anymore! So you don't have to wear those tights and stuff anymore , now you can were the proper etiquette!" Nilou exclaimed, seeming proud of how much you've progressed in the theatre. " Yeah , but-" You were cut off by the sound of your director's voice. " Nilous and Y/n, I need you both to go get some supplies from Akim." They said, "Of course! Come on y/n , let's go." Nilou grabbed your hand before leading you out.
"Wait- Nilou-"
The entire time you walked the streets of Sumeru City was embarrassing. People immediately looked at you and Nilou , but she didn't seem to notice. You on the other hand were having a panic attack while Nilou talked to Akim.
This action was repeated several times as you nearly decided not to work with the threatre anymore , that was until a strange package was left at your front door.
It was nearly wrapped and had a note attached to it.

Recently I've noticed that you've had a change in clothes and I could tell that you were uncomfortable in it.
So I took the liberty to buy you something, hopefully it'd help...

You opened the wrapped gift to see a pair of f/c leggings for you.
You felt your face turn slightly red from the generous gift that he gave you.
-Le next day-
"Hey y/n! Wow , I like your new leggings!" Nilou said as you entered the Grand Bazaar. " Thanks Nilou."
"Did someone give them to you?"
Nilou then asked once the both of you sat down for breakfast. " Yep." Nilou's face brighten, "Who?! Tell me !"
Nilou begged as she tried to get the truth out of you , " Okay okay! I got them from a very good friend of mine." Nilou then placed a very keen smirk on her face. " Are you sure it's just a friend?~" Nilou teased , " Yes , I think so.." You answered but now you were second guessing it.

'Does Wanderer love me? He's been acting a lot more kind towards me now instead of his usual guarded defensive behavior... Not to mention he did buy me these without question.'

You felt your heart beat fasten when you imagined you being in a relationship as your face heated.

No! No , no! This is simply a friendship gift! WE'RE ONLY FRIENDS, YEAH JUST FRIENDS! (⊙⁠﹏⁠⊙)

You excused yourself as your heart was fixing to explode , before running into someone. "Sorry- Wanderer?" You saw your friend in front of you , " I just came here to ask if you like the socks... nothing more." You were confused for a moment, since when was it that you ever saw wanderer red? "Uh- I love them , thanks Wanderer!" You smiled before your director called for you.
"Thanks Wanderer for the gift."
You gave him a small peck to his cheek before walking off to the stage, leaving him in a flustered manor. He lightly brushed the spot where you'd kissed him , as he slowly formed a smile with his cheeks a light pink.
Meanwhile you were practicing for Greater Lord Rukkhadevata's birthday , messing up every so often. You kind going back to Wanderer.
Both of you had the same thought though.

'So this is love?'
