I closed my eyes really hard, thinking that this is the end of me.
But when I opened my eyes I saw...
Callisto, hugging me? Where on the ground. I don't know what happened cause my eyes were closed.
"W-what happened?" I asked him.
"A bus was about to hit you, but thankfully I came just right on time." Callisto said in a worried voice.
Tinayo nya ako at umikot ang mata nya sa katawan ko na parang chine-check kung may gasgas o sugat ako.
"T-thank you, I owe you a lot." I thanked him for saving me. I owe him my life.
I began scratching my arms, I got scared that I'll lose my life. But if it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be standing here. He held my arms to stop it.
"Can you do me a favor?" he asked.
"Yes! Anything."
"Can we be friends? That is the only payment I'll accept for saving you." He said while smiling at me.
"Sure, I would like to have a new friend around. And please don't mention this to my Lola and Mama." I pleaded.
He nodded and smiled at me.
But I wouldn't want a fight with your girlfriend.
Sinamahan nya na akong tumawid.
"Ma! Sorry natagalan." I greeted them.
"Callisto? Bat naparito ka? Magkasama ba kayo ni Hallie?" Sunod sunod na tanong ni lola.
"Nagkabanggaan po kami sa school, and nakasama ko po sya sa jeep." he answered.
"Ikaw Hallie, ahh." mapang-asar na sabi ni mama.
Pinandilatan ko lang si mama at sinamahan na sila sa upuan.
"I'm gonna go now, bye Hallie." bati nya sakin.
I frowned. "Akala ko ba'y may bibilhin ka?"
"Oh, that? It was just an excuse."
Excuse to what? He's weird.
Siniko ako ni mama at nang mapatingin ako sakanya ay naka ngisi sya saakin.
"Boyfriend mo, hija?" Tanong ni Lola.
Agad naman akong umiling. "Ayy, hindi Lola! May girlfriend 'yon."
"Sino namang may sabi?" Nakakunot noong tanong nya saakin.
"Nakita ko po kagabi, may lumapit sakanyang babae tas tinabihan sya." Sagot ko.
Tinawanan nya lang ako. "Baka ang kakambal nya ang tinutukoy mo."
Taka ko syang tiningnan. May kambal sya?
She exhaled. "He has a girl twin and her name is Celeste. They're both named after the moon. Their mother loves the moon, and i think the twins grow to love the moon too, maybe that's why you saw him in their terrace last night."
Nakaka-amaze naman yun. Sana may twin din ako. Joke.
"Ah, kaya po pala. Akala ko jowa nya, pero still lola di ko po sya boyfriend." pagtatanggol ko sa sarili.
"Sus, kumain na nga tayo." sambit ni mama.
Pag tapos namin kumain ay lumayas na din kami. I can't stop thinking about him— wait.. Why am I thinking about him? We just met each other!
