He was the first person to make her smile, and to see her smile. He made her smile with his oddly-worded jokes. His smirks, his glares, his raised eyebrows. Every expression made her smile. He made her smile with the stolen kisses he gave her when they snuck off without other members of the ship.
Trellis was the only one who could ever make the seemingly stoic girl smile a grin so wide it hurt her.
