The next morning, Heeseung woke up on Jake's bed, his head throbbing like crazy. It took him a minute to realize that it was not his room, in fact, it was Jake's.

He recognized it by the jacket left on the couch and the smell of Jake's favorite perfume.

"Wait... what happened last night?" Heeseung held his head. He tried to remember what happened last night, but he couldn't recall a thing.

"I hope I didn't do anything stupid," he hurriedly put on his shoes and rushed out of the room.

He bumped into Jay and Jungwon right outside the room. "Oh, hyung... we were just coming to wake you up. Jake hyung told us that you would be in his room."

"Where is Jake?" Heeseung asked, not paying attention to what Jungwon just said.

"He's with Niki right now. We're all going for breakfast. Sunghoon hyung and Sunoo hyung are already downstairs, so hurry up because breakfast is available until 11:30 only."

Heeseung's eyes roamed the hallway while Jungwon was speaking. "Thanks for the information, you guys go ahead. I'll try to hurry. Don't wait for me, okay?" Heeseung physically pushed them away but then stopped when he saw Niki and Jake coming out of Niki's room.

He rushed towards Jake, leaving Jay and Jungwon flabbergasted.

"Jake, I want to ask you something," Jake looked surprised by the sudden appearance of the elder. "What happened last night... and who dropped me at your room?" Heeseung asked in a low voice so only the two of them could hear.

Confusion was very evident on Jake's face, not only Jake but all the other members who were present were confused.

Jake was looking at Heeseung with these strange eyes that Heeseung couldn't understand.

"Let's talk later," was the only thing he said before he left with Niki. Jay and Jungwon also left with them.

Heeseung was the only one left behind in the long hallway. 'Did nothing happen... or maybe something did happen... he said he'll talk later. What if it's something he can't say in front of the other members? Ah, I messed up big time.'

He went back to his room for a shower.

He turned on the shower, cold water droplets taking away all the heat from his body. His head continuously tried to remember what happened yesterday and how he ended up in Jake's room.

He suddenly remembered hugging someone, but he had no idea who the person he was hugging was.

"Argh," he let out a small cry because it was frustrating for him.

On the other hand, Jake also looked lost when Sunoo was telling the members how he hadn't had any mint chocolate ever since he came to America.

"You won't believe, hyung. I searched almost 10 convenience stores, and none of them had mint chocolate. I was so upset," he whined and put a big piece of pancake in his mouth after saying that.

"It seems like Americans have good taste, just like us," Sunghoon, who was sitting next to him, teased, and everyone laughed. Sunoo gave him a side-eye, which made everyone laugh even louder.

But even when everyone was laughing, Jake seemed lost in his thoughts.

Jungwon shook him a little to get his attention. "Hyung, why aren't you eating anything? If you're waiting for Heeseung hyung, then stop because he told us not to wait for him."

"Oh no, it's not like that. I'm just not hungry," Jake said, sliding his pancake onto Jay's plate. "Yaaa, why me? Give it to someone else; I already ate mine," Jay complained.

"Come on, have some more. No one eats as much as you anyway, and if you can't eat it, then give it to Niki." "I'm not having any more; I'm already full," Niki declared before Jay even tried to convince him.

"Hyung, eat it since it's already on your plate," after Jungwon said that, Jay started chewing while giving death stares to Jake.

Sunoo, Sunghoon, and Niki chuckled at the whole drama.

After breakfast, the maknaes left to watch a horror movie together, and the black and white duo went to Sunghoon's room to play some video games.

Before leaving, Jake informed them that he was going to explore the city with their manager.

Heeseung entered Sunghoon's room; Sunghoon and Jay were both immersed in their game.

"Do you guys know where Jake is? I asked the others, but they said they don't know."

"Yeah, he told us that he's going out with our manager to explore the city. He said he'll be back in an hour or two," Sunghoon replied.

"Do you want to join us?" Jay asked.

"Oh no, you guys continue. I think I'll have some rest after eating something; my head is still heavy." "Heavy?" Jay questioned.

Except for Jake, no one else knows that Heeseung was completely wasted last night. "Oh, nothing, I just watched Vincenzo all night; that's why my head is hurting a little." Heeseung's quick thinking saved him from a ton of questions.

The whole day, Heeseung didn't get to talk to Jake.

Because after Jake came back, he went to take a shower, then he hung out with Niki and filmed some TikTok videos with him. After that, the 02z went to the gym.

Even when they were in the same room, Hee didn't get to talk to him because he was busy with other members.

When all the members were leaving for dinner, Heeseung grabbed Jake's wrist. "What's up with you? Why are you avoiding me?"

"Hyung, what are you doing? What if someone sees us?" Jake tried to remove his hand, but Hee gripped it tighter. "What is that supposed to mean?" Heeseung asked.

"Oh, right. You don't remember anything," Jake said this a bit harshly; he felt a little angry, but even he didn't know why. "Tell me what happened last night, how I ended up in your room."

"Let's talk after dinner." Jake removed Hee's hand and was about to leave. "Wait... you said this earlier today, but you avoided me the whole day... you didn't even try to talk to me. If I did something wrong, then tell me." Heeseung's eyes were a little teary.

Hee didn't like being ignored by Jake; he'd rather have Jake confront him than be all awkward around him.

"Hyung, I'm saying this for your own sake; let's go for a walk after dinner so we can talk." After that, he didn't wait for Heeseung's reply and left.
