You had always been reserved, harboring your feelings deep within, afraid of revealing your heart's desires to anyone. But there was one person who unknowingly held the key to unlocking the depths of her emotions – a kind-hearted boy named Miles, but he preferred Spider.

Spider was a gentle soul, known for his unwavering kindness and brave nature. He was always ready to help anyone in need. Compared to your friends, him and you could be seen as weaker because of your size. You were always happy to remind him he was still shorter than you, which would often turn into him barking back. He would remind you that he could run faster than you, and that he still had time to get taller than you. You would laugh, finding it cute to see him act this way.

You admired him from afar, secretly captivated by his infectious smile and the warmth in his pretty brown eyes. Yet, you believed that your feelings were unrequited, destined to remain hidden in the recesses of your heart.

You always thought he had a thing for Kiri, you understood why. Kiri was amazing, one of your best friend. She was always fun to talk to and whenever you caught Spider and Kiri hanging out, he always seemed to be having a better time than when he was with you. It hurt a little, but you knew you would be fine.

One evening, as the sun cast its golden hues over the horizon, you found yourself strolling away from the camp. You were in your head. The gentle lull of the forest matched the rhythm of your thoughts, you could not shake the overwhelming urge to share your emotions with Spider.

You wanted to tell him everything. Scream it at the top of your lungs how he made you feel. You did not think there were even words to describe the feelings you had for him, that angered you. Not being able to put a name to your feelings was infuriating.

You came to a halt, and looked around to make sure you truly were by yourself. Once you made sure there was not anyone, you took a deep breath before letting out a booming scream. Then another one. It echoed around you before the silence of the forest came back. It felt good, being able to let it all out.

Seeking solace and courage, you decided that maybe you should talk to someone about your feelings. Maybe someone could help you figure out what to do. You walked back to camp, nervous. You thought that confiding in Kiri could potentially help. Or, if she also had feelings for him, it could hurt your friendship with her. You decided to still do it, knowing Kiri would never make you feel bad about what you're feeling and that if you two had feelings for him, you would not get competitive or mean with each other.

You quickly found Kiri; she was by herself. You smiled as you approached her.

"Kiri... Can I ask for some advice?" You asked getting her attention. She gave you a smile and quickly nodded her head yes.

"So, it's about Spider." You softly said waiting for a reaction. She waited for you to continue, as if she expected this. "I want to tell him I like him." You rapidly said making let out a small chuckle. Your face felt warm after the confession, and it was not even to Spider. How will you be able to do it? With Kiri, it was easy, she was your best friend and knew everything about you. You knew she would never judge you, and she would always do her best to help you.

"Yeah? I'm proud of you. All you have to do is rip off the bandaid, I know you can do it." She said taking my hands in hers, giving me a hopeful and encouraging smile. "When are you going to tell him?" She asked, her excitement radiating to you. You smiled at her, happy to have her in your life.

"I'm not sure..." You started. "When the moment is right, i will tell him." You said looking at her.

You wanted to tell him, you really did, but it was easier to talk about doing it than actually doing it. Rare were the times where you two were alone, and you did not want to risk getting rejected in front of everyone. Getting rejected was not necessarily bad, you just did not want everyone to witness it.

Days turned into weeks, and your heart weighed heavy with the weight of your unspoken affection for Spider, but one fateful evening, you found yourself face-to-face with the boy you were desperately crushing on. It was far much than a crush actually.

You were alone with him, he was looking at you. You were looking at him. There was nothing that mattered anymore. Only you and him.

"You've been acting different lately...Is everything okay?" He gently asked breaking the silence.

You were not being subtle enough apparently.

You slowly shook your head unsure of how to respond. Was this the moment? "You would not understand..." You uttered softly. You never looked away from his eyes, he did not either.

Spider looked at you, curiosity etched in his features. "Then why not explain to me? What would i not understand?" He said giving you a smile, hoping he was not stepping over the line.

You took a deep breath finally looking away, your eyes directly meeting the ground. Spider looked confused. What was bothering you?

"It's hard to say and you have to promise me you won't be disgusted by me. Okay?"

Spider scoffed amused by your words, he could never be disgusted by you.

"Promise, okay?" You repeated. He nodded his head quickly, a smile still on his lips. "I promise."

Summoning every ounce of courage, You spoke with a trembling voice, "I love you!"

Spider stood there, stunned, trying to process the weight of your words. Confusion danced across his face, but before he could respond, you continued, your voice desperate and filled with vulnerability.

"I love you desperately," you pleaded, your eyes brimming with unshed tears. "I have always treasured every moment we've shared. Your kindness, your laughter – they have touched my soul. So please, tell me what you feel." You loudly said closing your eyes tightly afraid to see the expression on his face.

Spider took a deep breath, his gaze softening. He reached out, gently cupping your trembling hands within his own. "Look at me," he said, his voice filled with tenderness. You slowly looked up at him, unsure of what he would say. "I had no idea you felt the same way. You've captured my heart with your strength, and your unwavering spirit. I care deeply for you, too." He paused looking down at your hands. "I love you too."

In that moment, the weight of unspoken emotions lifted from your shoulders, replaced by a warmth that enveloped your entire being. You stood in the forest, your hearts intertwining amidst the lively nature as the world around them faded into insignificance.

From that day forward, you and Spider embarked on a journey of love and shared vulnerability. Your bond grew stronger, fortified by the courage to express your deepest desires. In each other's arms, you found solace, understanding, and a love that would endure the trials of time.
