Nba Youngboy's POV:

————————————————————————-

"I'm starving" Kassidy sucked her teeth with Malakai on her hip with his head laid on her shoulder. "You tryna go out and get food?" I asked and she nodded. "Ight come on" I grabbed my keys.

We left the house and got into my car. "What we eating?"

"Wanna go to that restaurant we went to yesterday?" I questioned and Kassidy rolled her eyes. "Nigga if we ate it yesterday, why would I want it today?" I questioned in confusion. "You know tonight our last night here" I said in a duh tone. "They got dem fries you like" I reminded her.

"You're right" Kassidy nodded before turning around and I started driving. "You want fries?" She smiled at Malakai and he nodded before playing on his iPad.

Twenty minutes later we got to the restaurant and started eating. "So what you gon do once you go back home?"

"Look for a job" Kassidy assured. "You got a job" I gave her a confused look. "I want to do something more Kentrell. Now that I'm not going to college...."

"You could go to community college" I shrugged. "I didn't think about that"

"That would be easier and then you could apply for Morgan next year."

"Nigga if you know so much about college, why didn't you go?" Kassidy playfully rolled her eyes. "I dropped out of high school, I had more important shit going on" I shrugged. "Kentrell you know how long I've known you? You just ain't like school" she laughed and I sucked my teeth while Malakai sat In his high chair and reached for his drink.

"You're putting on that?" Ben's girlfriend Trinity asked and I nodded. "Yeah does it look bad?"

"Hell no, Girl you look good" she smiled causing me to smile, "I haven't performed in a long ass time. I'm kinda nervous" I admitted. "Don't be, you got Kentrell"

"I know but still" I sighed. "How is it?"

"How is what?"

"Getting everything you want. You're dating a whole rapper, everybody knows you-"

"It's not all that, and Kentrell and I do not date. We co-parent....and I don't like all of the attention you know? I rather my life be Lowkey but this is what it is and I'm blessed to be here" I shrugged while Trinity nodded and Malakai walked into the room.

"Aww did daddy dress you?" Trinity smiled picking him up and he nodded causing me to smile. "He's too cute" she shook her head. "Girl don't let that cute face fool you, he's bad as hell when left alone."

"Just like his dad" Trinity laughed. "Nah his dad bad in public too" I added and we both started laughing.

When we got to the show, Malakai was on my hip while I looked around backstage. "When is our song going?" I spotted Kentrell and he took Malakai from my arms. "Last, y'all can chill back here until then. Did you wanna do our old song too?"

"That's fine" I mumbled, "you nervous?" Kentrell flashed a smile at me and I rolled my eyes. "I just haven't performed in a while."

"You'll be fine Kas, just like old times" he kissed my cheek and walked away with Malakai. "And here I thought you was done with that nigga" I heard a familiar voice causing me to turn around and see Kentrell's baby mother Jania.

"Nene!" I grinned before running up and hugging her.

Jania had always been like a big sister to me. She was honest and a loyal ass bitch. I don't see why Kentrell would give up something like that but then again, I'm happy he did because Jania's life without him has been way better.

"Okay where is she?" I looked around and she laughed. "Icelynn is at home with her daddy, Kacey is around here somewhere though. Where's Malakai?"

"With Kentrell, I'm so proud of you" I hugged her "girl thank you. I love my little family" she smiled. This was the first time I had seen her genuinely happy in a while.

When I met Kentrell, he was still fucking with Jania and I didn't know. One day I called her and we've been close ever since.

"I heard you're performing with Kentrell"

"Yeah but we're not together. It's just a song" I shrugged. "Yeah I been seeing the news, you know if I was the bitch I used to be, Ka'Mani would've gotten her ass beat from me too" Jania said honestly causing me to laugh.

The show started and everything was going good. Kacey and Malakai played with each other backstage while Trinity, Jania and I talked to each other.

When it was time for me to perform, Kentrell brought me onto the stage and it was something about being with him there that caused me to be less nervous. I felt safe in his arms as he pulled me close to him while I sung.

After that, Trinity went home with Ben and Malakai while Kentrell and I had to do a club after party. The rest of the gang went with us and it was good vibes all around. This truly was one of the best days I've had in a while.
