I finally sat down on the couch and turned on the tv before there was a knock on the door causing me to suck my teeth. "Answer the door!" Kd yelled from the kitchen, and I rolled my eyes, "Nigga you open it" I spat back.
"You closer!" He yelled again and I groaned. "I came over here to pick up my son, not be a maid" I mumbled before walking to the front door. When I opened it, I saw Ka 'Mani and mugged her. "So now you coming over to his house?" I mugged.
"I came over to talk to you. You weren't home so I assured you and Malakai were here. Can we talk?" She questioned and I chuckled. "Hoe I will drag yo ass right now" I reminded her. "Kas please, we have to talk-"
"Who's at the door?" Kentrell walked over to me and saw Mani. "Bitch what you-"
"Not too much Kentrell. Its fine, come on" I let Ka'Mani in the house before she sat on the couch. Kentrell started to roll a blunt while I stood with my back on a wall not too far from Ka'Mani. "So, what do you want to talk about?"
"Kassidy you're my best friend and I love you. We've been friends forever. Kentrell comes in the picture and ruins all of that. Kas, you forgave him and not me. It takes two to tango and you're acting like he didn't do anything" Ka'Mani explained.
"Girl...is that all you came to say?" I rolled my eyes while Kentrell chuckled and Ka'Mani sucked her teeth. "Girl you are doing way too much" Mani waved me off and I started to walk over to her. "Bitch-" my words got cut off by me about to punch Ka'Mani before she stood up and ran to the door before holding her stomach.
"I'm pregnant!" She blurted out. I looked back at Kentrell, and he shrugged. "Not by him but Kas, I want you to be the godmother. I love you like you're my sister" Ka'Mani explained with tears about to fall down her face. "Ka'Mani..." I sighed.
"Get out of my face before I hurt you and that baby" I mumbled before Ka'Mani rushed out of the house. I sighed and sat down. "This is too much."

"I don't even know why you went over there" Ashley said once I sat down on the couch. "Have you told Corey?"
"Nope, and I don't plan on telling him any time soon" I shrugged. "Why not? You don't want the baby?"
"Of course I do!" I argued, "I'm never having an abortion again. Corey and I are just friends though. This baby may not be a good thing for us."
"Mani this baby could be a blessing in disguise. I see the way that you and Corey look at each other. You've always loved him Mani. Now is your time to get your life together and shit."
"How are you younger but smarter?" I questioned before we both chuckled. "Look I'm going to go pick up some pizza. You wanna come?"
"No ima stay here and take a nap. Lock the door" I told Ashley and she nodded before leaving the house. I walked upstairs to my room and started to lay down before Corey started to facetime me. "Hello"
"Hey, what you doing?" He asked while his phone sat in the cup holder of his car while he was driving. "Nothing, I just laid down."
"I was gonna come get you so we could go to the movies."
"Uh...Corey I really don't feel good today. Maybe we can do something next time" I sighed. I really don't want to keep this from him but I have no choice right now.
"So I can't come over?"
"Of course you can" I gave him a shy smile, "Bet I'll be there in twenty minutes" he said and I nodded before hanging up.
I decided to close my eyes until Corey arrived since I was exhausted.

I knocked on the door holding a bag of Wings Stop and Ashley opened it. "Wassup Ash" I smiled. "Hey Coreyy" she dragged before letting me inside. "Where's your sister?" I asked while she ate a slice of pizza. "In her room sleeping."
"Ight, y'all had pizza?"
"No I did, Mani ain't want none" she shrugged, and I nodded. "Ight ima be upstairs if you need anything, here" I handed her a smaller bag from my hand "I got you Hawaiian wings"
"thanks" Ashley gave me a side hug and I nodded before walking upstairs. I opened Ka'Mani's room door and she was knocked out. "Mani" I whispered but she ain't answer. "Ight" I chuckled before sitting beside the spot she was laying in, on her bed.
I started eating and watching tv since I didn't want to wake her. She hates when her food gets cold but I had tried tapping her and nothing was working, she just kept snoring.
Ka'Mani is great, I know the public sees her differently because of the shit with Youngboy but she really does have a good heart. I wanna make her the happiest woman in the world, I just don't know if that's what she wants.
