Tsukkihina ~ secret mate

Chapter 22

After what felt like a whole hour, Hinata realized that Tsukki wasn't coming. He slowly got up and sat on a desk near the window since the light was pretty. He didn't know what to do. He didn't want to go out, scared that Kageyama was still out there. He looked out the window and saw Tsukki. He was instantly filled with a small happiness that came with seeing your mate but then a girl came into view and a funny feeling overcame Hinata. It wasn't a pleasant feeling to say the least. He hated it. Hinata's scent spiked with sadness, anger, rejection, and jealousy as he watched the little exchange they had. Then he watched them leave. Together.

Hinata was confused. He didn't understand why Tsukki was over there with her. He had texted Tsukki and expected him to be there for him. Especially since he was going through something that made him feel like the worst omega and watching him leave with another omega was like a slap to the face. While he looked out the window they looked too close for comfort. He didn't like the way Tsukki leaned down to her. Hinata wondered if they kissed or not and if she went to the school. He's never seen her before. Was he keeping her a secret too?

Hinata thought that she was pretty. From what Hinata could see she was definitely an omega. Hinata wondered how they knew each other. If having a miscarriage made Tsukki think about leaving him. Hinata's scent started to make his thoughts go into overdrive. He was thinking too many negative things. It hurt a lot. Why did he have to go? Why did they leave together? Why didn't Tsukki come to Hinata?

Hinata got up from the desk and stood right in front of the window. He could now see that his other teammates were leaving. He could see Asahi carrying Noya on his shoulders with Tanaka right beside them. He saw Ennoshita and Kinoshita walking beside each other as they left the school. A few more seconds went by and he could see Narita and Yamaguchi leave but then go their separate ways once they were outside the school gate. He didn't know where Kageyama, Sugawara, and Daichi were.

Hinata felt like if he waited long enough then he would see the three all go out. But Kageyama was in rut so he probably left a long time ago. Hinata waited by the window and wondered if Sugawara and Daichi had left already. A few minutes later he saw the two come out together and walk to the gate. They looked very serious. They both stopped by the gate of the school and talked for a few minutes before they both went their separate ways.

Hinata watched as all his friends left. He left the window and made his way to the club room slowly. He hoped that Kageyama had left so he wouldn't have to run into him again. Once he got in front of the club room to get his stuff and left quickly. He was stopped by the scent of an omega in heat. It was the scent that had always lingered on Tsukki. It was also mixed with a scent he knows too well. The scent that made him feel loved and safe but right now, It hurt.

It made him sad and angry. Why was HIS mate off with another omega during such a vital time in his life. He felt so hopeless and empty as he stood in that room. It was insulting and degrading. He HATED this feeling. He hated the thoughts that ran through his head of Tsukkishima messing around with that omega GIRL. The anger and sadness that ran through him made him shake.

His fist was clenched so hard his knuckles went white. His nails that are pressing into his palms hurt. He didn't care right now though. He could barely feel it right now. Hinata quickly grabs his things and leaves the room. He takes a deep breath of the outside air once he's out. It doesn't alleviate the pain he's in. His mind felt foggy and numb. His body felt heavy. Every step he took was getting harder. He couldn't think anymore. His body hurt. His heart hurt.

He didn't know how but he made it home. The lights were all off and it was quiet. It didn't surprise him but he felt bitter. He felt alone as he walked inside his home. At the moment it didn't feel like a home to him. He wanted his family to tell him it was going to be okay. He wanted his mate to be here.
