Delali's POV
One week Later

This has been going on for a week now, some nights are better than others but ever since Amira came home from the hospital she has been having this nightmare and she wakes up screaming and drenched in sweat, I've since then moved into her room temporarily because I'm worried about her.

Today we have the housewarming and her birthday celebration at once, we decided that way it would be cheaper and just better since we are both going to be busy on her actual Birthday which is the day after tomorrow.

"He was in the hospital but I don't know if he work there, he was trying to talk to me. and everything that I worked so hard to bury just came right back and ow I think Zy'aire hates me because he hasn't talked to me since then, must he always just ruin everything in my life?" She starts crying again.

"Amira, come here mama" I say patting the space on the bed beside me

"We both know what that little bitch put you through and you put in the work and you got over it, you healed and you moved on to someone who treats you the way you should be treated. We are not going to allow him to measle his way back into your life and disrupt your progress.

You have grown since then, you are not the same little girl that he took advantage of you are stronger and you will be fine." I say to her smiling to let her know that she is not in this alone

"And I'm sure Zy'aire is not mad at you, you just need to let him know what's going on and why you've been gone. Now go shower and get ready we have a long day, I'm gonna make breakfast" We said a quick prayer for her peace and then we went our separate ways to prepare fore today.

It's now 5:05pm the party is supposed to start at 6, Bri and my mother is already here helping us with the party but also helping me with the surprise I have planned for Amira.

"She alright, she look out a it?" Bri asked

"She a go through something right now, but the story is hers to tell, if she is okay I hope she is but right now I know she's not. We just have to be here for her when she ready." I say to her quietly so mommy doesn't hear.

"Delali you phone a ring" Bri says and I stop what I'm doing to check it seeing my boyfriends name flash across the screen I answer stepping away from the noise

With that he hung up before I could even say bye. But from the other day he's been complaining about his boss being a real pain over some small things. I cannot tell you what he does for work exactly we just never really had that convo and he doesn't talk much. I just know he makes money.

"Alright so the food is ready, decorations are up and seating arranged. Everybody ready but me so me ago whull a quick shower and stuff before people come." I say loud enough for both my mother and Bri to hear
Okays were mumbled as they were both occupied and with that I turn and left to my room.

Zy'aire POV

I no longer need any aid with walking and my wounds are healing nicely so now I'm getting ready for the house warming, I haven't talked to Amira since the day I came back from the hospital, we did have this big argument by the time we reach a my house...

"It's in the past and I don't want to remember it but seeing him brings back so many bad memories" she choked out

"I don't want to talk about it." She said before she left

That was the last time I heard from her up until now. I text her but she doesn't respond, a now me really worried. But me a put a end to it today, we have the housewarming plus her birthday celebration. I plan on making it right with her today no matter what, I miss my girl.

"Yo yuh ready" Badz asked, he's been here helping out my mother and she has been keeping Justin as well. So things have been working out for now. We haven't heard from Daville and I haven't been to the warehouse but we are keeping alert in case anything pops off
Badz say him have a plan but me no wah get involved inna that.
