- IMPROMPTU KISS SCENE -

▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂

Today was Liz's first day at Oscorp since the whole Max debacle, giving her no chance until now to look into what might've happened. It'd been irking her the entirety of the past couple days and now she finally had a chance.

"You gonna tell me why you didn't say one word the entire ride here?" Gwen inquired once they reached their desks.

"We talked about the weather." Liz countered with a goofy smile.

"Doesn't count." Gwen chuckled, turning to face her computer as Liz did the same.

She wasn't sneaky, far from it actually. Her 'acting casual' was probably going to be her downfall in the near future.

Taking her seat at her perfectly organized desk across from the blonde's, Liz glanced around for any sign of somebody who could be watching her, but most of the employees had far more important things to do than keep an eye on the girl.

With her bottom lip in between her teeth and a nervous divot in her brows, she typed Max Dillon's name into the search bar and hit enter.

The system scattered through presumably all of Oscorp's employees by the looks of it, many faces but none of them belonging to Max.

A minute later, longer than expected from the highly developed software in the building, and the search came out blank.

     DILLION, MAX
     NAME NOT FOUND

"What in the world...?" Liz went to re-enter his name but a beep sounded, and her search was blocked.

Liz's eyes went round, looking around rather suspiciously as she tried to remain calm.

And then, not even five minutes later...

"Hey, what's security doing over here?" Gwen asked Liz as she turned to face her.

"Shit." She cursed as she swiftly signed off of her computer all the while trying to hide her face from the three security guards scanning each of the cubicle-like office spaces.

"What'd you do?" Gwen crossed her arms and looked over her skeptically.

"Nothing..." Liz waved a hand of dismissal and shrugged, her facial expressions in complete disagreement with her own body. "Could you maybe distract them or hold them up, I need to leave."

Gwen's eyes widened in surprise. "Right now?"

"Um...." Liz looked over at the security just as they're eyes locked on her and they slowly started to approach. "Yes. Right now."

"This is crazy, Elizabeth." Gwen scolded. Truthfully, she never would've expected Liz getting in trouble. She always thought she was too scared to do anything really.

"I'll buy you Korean meatballs later, just please stall." Liz spoke quickly before 'casually' turning on her heel and starting towards the hall that lead to the elevators.
