"y/n McGonagall!"
I practically leap out of the chair of the Slytherin common room. I don't even have time to process what's happening when someone lifts me up so I'm standing on my toes and pins me to the wall.
"y/n. y/n. y/n." Tom Riddle. "Care to tell me what the fuck your little friend handed me earlier?"
"A thinly veiled threat," I respond. "And her name is Deirdre."
"I don't give a fuck what your friend's name is. But that 'thinly veiled threat' is going to be the thing that just might land you in the hospital wing, McGonagall. Might. If my mood gets any more sour than it is right now," he threatens.
"Now, Mr. Riddle, if I didn't know any better, I would think you're threatening me even after I have told you that I will not hesitate to go to the headmaster about what I saw if you threaten me again. That would be ridiculous, wouldn't it?" I smirk.
"Oh, but now you're threatening me. Aren't you?" Tom smirks.
"Yes. But you have nothing against me." I place my hand on his wrist, the one that's pinning me against the wall.
His smirk gradually transforms into an amused smile. "But darling, I will have something against you. Soon. Don't worry about that."
Darling?
I raise my eyebrows in mock amusement. "Will you?"
"Yes. I will."
He drops me back so the floor and storms off to, I'm guessing, his dorm.
"y/n. That was tense," Deirdre comments.
"Why, yes, it was. But it was fun." I smile.
"Oh no, my poor, dear, innocent friend. I don't think it'll be very fun for long."
"What do you mean?" One eyebrow raises with curiosity.
"You don't know Tom Riddle."
"Well, you don't either."
She lets out an exasperated sigh. "But I know enough. He hurts people, y/n. Well, allegedly. He won't stop until he feels he's won."
"But neither will I."

I'm so sorry this chapter is so short. I completely forgot I was even writing it because I've been so busy. This is just kind of a filler chapter, to add more drama. Why? Because I can. The next chapter will definitely be longer and better, I promise. Good morning/day/night! I love you!
