The New Restaurant

Everyone ordered whatever was cheapest on the menu except for 8. She really wanted to push the limits and see how well this restaurant could do and if it was better than the old, memory filled restaurant from the past. She almost cried when it was her turn to order, she felt so panicked.

"Hello? 8? Are you here with us?" Captain waved his hand in front of her.

"Oh! Sorry." She let out a nervous chuckle.

The others where giving her worried glances.

Gee, what's gotten into her now? She's usually the perky one. I'm pretty sure I saw her smile as she entered the lobby. 4 thought.

She looked as if she might have cried while ordering, what's up with her? 3 wondered.

8's acting funny, this isn't like her. Should I just ask again? Captain stared at her, confused.

8 noticed the others' stares and said, "What?"

"Nothing," they murmured and went back to whatever they were doing before. 4 was chatting with Captain about the lobby and all the amazing stuff they had seen while 3 pulled out a book from his side bag.

Things went back to normal until the food came. Even the cheapest dishes looked appetizing to them - they were all starving. But the most appealing dish of them all was 8's, the most expensive one.

"Wow, that looks really good! Wanna trade?" asked 3.

8 laughed in response, relieving the others from their worry. They all chowed down.

8 found that her dish was extremely well done. It was cooked all the way and even the taste was different from anything she'd ever had before. This was probably the best food she'd eaten in her life.

"This's so good!" she remarked. Everybody else agreed.

"We've gotta come back. This is the best food ever!!" 4 exclaimed.

They paid the bill and left.

8 decided that she liked the restaurant. Why'd she make so much fuss over it anyway? Sure, the old restaurant was filled with memories, but now they could make new ones in the new restaurant! All she had to do was find her friends...
