Coming Home

The Village

Maddy's Pov

I was sitting on my bead reading my book when Gwyn walked in "Maddy" she said "yeah" I answered "I'm hungry and no one else is here" she said, I got up from my bed, and put my hand out "come on let's go see what's there" she took my hand and we walked into the kitchen. When I looked in the fridge I saw that there was no meat left, "how about we go into town and get some food" she nodded as to agree it was nice out, but clouds started to come in so I grabbed me and Gwyn's coat, then walked through the forest. "What were you dreaming about last night" she asked me, "oh just someone" I say not wanting to go into details "who" I sighed "someone that means a lot to me, but I had to leave him because a scientist has found out about Wolfbloods" I explained. We walked in silence for a couple minutes "do you miss him" she asked looking up at me "a lot I saw him yesterday, but I didn't go up to him" we were almost at the village square "why not" Gwyn kept questioning "because it would put him in danger". I felt a drop of rain fall on my nose, so I told Gwyn to put on her coat as I put on mine, we got a pizza place that I knew where I wouldn't run into anybody who knew me. "Two pepperoni slices please, one water and one lemonade" I asked "coming right up" said the employee. We went to grab a table, a couple minutes later a waiter came with our orders, but they didn't last long because we ate them in a split second. After I paid we left, it started to rain so me and Gwyn made a run for it. One thing I noticed is that I passed the Kafe which was were Rhydian and Jana worked, for work experience, I just glanced at it, but didn't stop running. When we made it home we both started laughing considering we were soaking wet, so we went to take a shower. Later that night the rain got harder and it started to thunder and flash lightning, I heard my door creak open and saw Gwyn peaking her head in. "You scared" I asked she nodded and I motioned her over, she climbed in next to me and fell asleep about half an hour later. Gwyn and Cadwr became like little siblings to me, and Meiner became like one of my best friends, they were all I got besides Shannon, but I didn't care I loved them anyway.
