chapter 2

The army marches towards their objective, a Skaven tunnel is found. 

Skitek: Here! The tunnel to my old clan, clan Brik.  No sneaky way inside, will have to kill all who fight.

Y/n: Are you sure?

Skitek: Only need females and a few males, rest are disposable. 

Y/n: Alright, tell us what to expect.

Skitek: Clanrats! No Storm-vermin. Easy for your army.

Y/n: Alright then, let's move inside.

Skitek moves in first and does a pattern of tail swishes, he then motions that it is safe and the army follows behind him. 

Skitek leads them to the main section of the nest. Skaven workers tend to everyday life.

The army readies themselves then charge at the Skaven. 

The battle is short but very bloody. With all the clanrats dead. Skitek frees the skavenslaves and recruits them. 

Y/n meets with his new ally.

Y/n: When will we be ready to move.

Skitek: I have designed mobile carts to haul the clan around, we can advance the design to create a completely mobile army.

Y/n: Perfect! But we will need more engineers to complete this task.

Skitek: Yes-yes, you are correct.  We will need many engineers to keep this running.

Y/n: Perhaps we can ask the dwarves for help?

Wallo approaches

Wallo: A good idea. But they don't like Skaven and I doubt they will build it, knowing who designed it. 

Y/n: True. But we won't know unless we try.

Skitek: Either way, we must wait at least a month before we set off.

Y/n: Very well, let's scavenge and hunt for food in the meantime.

The ogres begin to process the skaven corpses into meat for the army, most of the humans refused to eat it. But some preferred the taste of the meat over the rations of the empire.  Supply trains go back and forth to resupply the encamped army. 

In a month the army is ready to march, but now the question is how do they get an audience with the high king

Opportunity arises as they find some travelers that say that the high queen has been captured by chaos dwarves and held in their grandest fortress. 

Y/n knows that this is their only hope to get an audience with the high king. 

Y/n marches through the chaos corrupted lands and made it to the Zharr Naggrund. They besiege the city and send parties to secure their flanks. 

The siege begins as the army quickly begins building siege equipment. 

The siege will be long but worth it.

The new Skaven will be tasked to dig underneath the walls and give the troops a way to get in. They do so under the cover of wooden walls made to put archers behind so they wouldn't get hit by stray arrows or bullets.

Skrimishers of chaos dwarves attempt to soften up Y/n's army, but all they did was feed ogre bellies.  The chaos dwarves also send their orc slaves to attempt to help with the skirmishes, but once again they only provide an additional food supply. 

As the siege continues, Y/n meets with his retinue to coordinate an assault.

Y/n: Vogg. You and Wallo will lead the assault outside the gates. Skitek and I will lead an assault underneath the walls.  From there we find the high queen and escort her back behind our lines.  Then we sack the place and leave. 

Vogg: I will get the cooks ready to process some meat! 

The army continues with their plan, while other chaos dwarves send a few units each to try and break the siege, but find themselves confused at the array of troops they are fighting.

Supply trains make a dangerous trek across the wasteland, but find that the dwarves are accommodating to them. The siege has not gone unnoticed by the Dwarves, most clans send their regards in the form of supplies for the siege. 

The siege will be long and arduous journey. But worth it in the end.  As the profit will be well worth the risk. 

The attackers manage to create crude artillery and launch large boulders over the walls. 

The ogres continue to feed boulders to the siege engines as they continue firing on the defenders.

The Skaven continue to dig, they could manage with only one entry point. But it would be advantageous to launch an assault from many sections.  So they continue digging and digging.

They manage to find a way to breach into their mines, but keep the new tunnels hidden for now.  

As soon as Y/n commands it, a horde will be unleashed. And the time is coming soon, the siege has lasted only for weeks so far. But the progress is undeniable.
