Night walk [animal/mythology au] Story 1

This au was made by me and a friend btw! [Plus a bit inspired by a pic]

No one's pov:

Lixue looked out the window at the night sky it was very nice at this time of night even tho she was supposed to be asleep. Lixue got up and walked out of her room to go outside, Lixue wasn't tired and didn't want to sleep so she decided to go on a night walk to pass some time by. She walked into the woods staying on the path she didn't know why she really wanted to go outside but it felt pretty comforting.

"Ah" Lixue said after getting scratched by a tree branch, She looked down at her arm and it was bleeding. She didn't pay attention to the wound and just kept walking, She was somewhat grateful that she could see through the cloth covering her face if it wasn't somewhat see-through she would've walked straight into a tree or a muddy puddle.

She ended up at a small lake that most people in lanling jin knew but never came here at night for some reason. It was very beautiful at night sure there were a few snakes and bugs that were out but it wasn't too bad, Lixue walked over to the lake and sat down next to the lake, Dipping her feet into the water slightly.

She placed her hands in her lap and decided to sit there for a while because it was quiet but that didn't last long. "Lixue! I didn't expect to see you here at this time of night!" Lixue turned to see her childhood friend Kino standing behind her in a night robe "What are you doing here at this time of night?" lixue asked.

"I could ask the same thing to you but I just wanted to take a dip in the lake" "In a night robe?" Kino stopped and started giggling while walking over to lixue sitting next to her. "Of course not silly! I put on a bathing suit before coming here" Kino looked at her friend noticing the wound on the other right arm. "Uh your arm, Is it okay?" Lixue looked at the wound that was still somewhat bleeding.

"Oh, I forgot about that" Lixue said dryly like it didn't really matter if she got hurt, "Does it not hurt?" "It does it's just, Y'know" Kino realize what she meant, It was because lixue couldn't feel emotions. To other people that might be weird that someone couldn't have emotions but to the Jin clan it was normal because of lixue.

Lixue would accidentally hurt herself and not show any attention or tell anyone, It made most of the Jin clan panic when they figure out she hurt herself, and would ask why she didn't say anything or panic when she got hurt. Lixue never really liked being babied by people because of her condition.

It was different when Kino came around when she was younger, She treated her like a normal human being. Like she was normal and had emotions not like other people who were treating her like glass, Kino showed lixue what it was like to have fun even though lixue couldn't show the emotion that was called happiness Kino knew that she was having fun even though she couldn't show it.

"-and done!" Lixue snapped out of her little trance to realize Kino put a bandage on the wound that was bleeding. "It will last until you get home" Kino said and smiled at lixue, Lixue looked down at the leaf bandage that Kino made out of a giant leaf. "Thank you" "No problem! I think you should get home before the sun rises" Kino pointed out that the sun was rising.

Lixue stood up and bow to Kino "Goodbye Kino" "Goodbye Lixue, Be safe!" Kino said as lixue walked away from the lake back to her house. Kino smiled and sighed as she took off her robe and dove into the lake, Loving the freezing water around her.
