Renèe's apartment
Renee was chilling in her apartment, getting home about 30 minutes ago, coming from her friend Ashanti's apartment, when she heard a knock on her door.
"Oh hey, Zion." She greeted her boyfriend of 6 months with a hug as she opened the door
"Hey, bae." He responded
"Why you ain't tell me you was comin' over?" She asked her boyfriend
"My fault. I just wanted ta come and chill." He responded
"It's cool come and watch a movie wit me."
50 mins later
"Nèe, you wanna go to a party wimme. My homeboy cousin throwin' a party and invited me?" Zion asked his girlfriend, breaking the silence
"Uh, yeah sure why not what time? You know I love to party?" She said
"Yeah too much. Seeing too many otha niggas." He complained
"Boy don't nobody care bout no niggas. You know I like meeting new people." She said with an attitude, after he made the mood sour
"We can go at 8:00. I'm bout to head out. I'll come pick you up." He said before walking out her room, to the door, letting himself out
"Bye. Wanted you ta leave anyway. Fuckin' aggy." She said to herself, after she heard the door closed
8:20pm
Renèe was finishing up getting dressed, as she heard a knock on her door.
"You ready?" Zion asked after she opened the door
"Yeah lemme put my perfume on and use the bathroom."
"Who you tryna smell good for?"
"Fuck you mean, nigga? Me. Know some them girls there gon smell like ass and piss." She replied annoyed
"You look good" He said as he ignored her previous statement
"Yeah I know. You can wait fa me in the car." She said dryly before turning to the bathroom
"That nigga piss me the fuck off sometimes. Ask me the most stupid questions I swea'." The girl thought to herself as she was finishing up in the bathroom.
Walking out her apartment, to Zion's car, Renèe took the time to calm herself down.
"Aight, let's go. I'm ready." She said while getting in the car
"Look bae, I'm sorry for overreacting ." Zion apologized
"Mmh, whatever. Just forget it. I'm tryna have fun tonight." Renèe said nonchalantly, knowing it wouldn't be the last time, and it wasn't the first
The car ride to the venue was silent and awkward. Getting out the car, Zion took Renèe's hand and walked into the building.
Renèe holding his, not really wanting to, walking into the party not in a good mood, not knowing who she would meet tonight.
