I decided to post the second chapter today too, just to give a little more taste to what the book will hold. I hope you like the new changes so far.

Many years had passed since the incident eleven years ago. Ella Potter had grown up as a spoiled witch, her seemingly cold hearted father had a soft spot for the young girl. Ella grew up knowing of her older twin brother, Harry Potter. Snape had told her that it was unfortunate that the two were separated, but she would see him once they were old enough to attend Hogwarts.

Ella's eleventh birthday arrived and she was accepted into Hogwarts immediately. Which is where we are now, the first day of school.

"Ella" Snape called up the stairs, he waited and then called a bit louder "Ella we're going to be late!"

"I'm coming" Ella said, running down the stairs

"Don't-" Snape didn't get to finish before their was a loud crash "-run" he finished as he saw her laying on the ground at the bottom of the stairs.

"Sorry dad" Ella apologized.

"Are you alright?" Snape asked, holding out his hand.

"Yes" Ella replied, taking his hand as he helped her up.

Ella dusted off her clothes and smiled. Snape shook his head before using a spell and their luggage disappeared. He took her hand before they apparated to Hogwarts. The two stood outside of the castle as a large group appeared led by a giant man.

"Severus," the giant man greeted as he neared them

Ella stood slightly behind Snape staring at the large man.

"Hagrid," Snape replied

The large man glanced down at the young girl standing behind Snape.

"Look at you," Hagrid smiled "all grown up."

"Hello," Ella greeted

"He will take you with the other first years to get sorted," Snape tells Ella

Ella nods before Snape strides off.

"I saw ye when you were just a small thing you know," Hagrid told her

"I didn't know that," Ella said "father only told me so much."

"Come," Hagrid pats her back "get with the group."

Ella runs behind Hagrid where the rest of the kids were crowded around the huge, oak front door.

"Everyone here? You there, still got yer toad?"

Hagrid raised a gigantic fist and knocked three times on the castle door. The door swung open at once. A tall, black-haired witch in emerald-green robes stood there. She had a very stern face.

"Woah," Ella said out loud "that's a big woman."

"The firs' years, Professor McGonagall," said Hagrid.

"Thank you, Hagrid. I will take them from here. "

She pulled the door wide. The entrance hall was so big and the stone walls were lit with flaming torches like the ones at Gringotts. The ceiling was too high to make out, and a magnificent marble staircase facing them led to the upper floors.

They followed Professor McGonagall across the flagged stone floor. Ella could hear the drone of hundreds of voices from a doorway to the right -- the rest of the school must already be here -- but Professor McGonagall showed the first years into a small, empty chamber off the hall. They crowded in, standing rather closer together than they would usually have done, peering about nervously.
