As Ella and Draco walked to class they heard something "His eyes are as green as a fresh pickled toad,

His hair is as dark as a blackboard,

I wish he was mine,

he's really divine,

The hero who conquered the Dark Lord"

Ella laughed and so did Draco, he looked at her "sounds like Potter getting attention again"

"I feel sorry for whatever girl got a crush on him," Ella agreed

Draco picked up a diary that was on the ground, Harry must've dropped it. Ella looked at it with Draco.

"Give that back," said Harry quietly.

"Wonder what Potter's written in this?" Draco questioned looking at Ella who shrugged

A hush fell over the onlookers. Ella was staring from the diary to Harry, looking intrigued.

"Hand it over, Malfoy," said Percy sternly.

"When I've had a look," Draco said, waving the diary tauntingly at Harry.

Percy said, "As a school prefect -" but Harry had lost his temper. He pulled out his wand and shouted, "Expelliarmus!"

Just as Snape had disarmed Lockhart, Malfoy found the diary shooting out of his hand into the air. Ella quickly caught it.

"Harry!" said Percy loudly. "No magic in the corridors. I'll have to report this, you know!"

But Harry didn't care, he was one-up on Malfoy, and that was worth five points from Gryffindor any day.

"Potter, the book" Percy said looking at Ella

Ella sighed and handed the diary over to Ron.

Malfoy was looking furious, and as Ginny passed him to enter her classroom, he yelled spitefully after her, "I don't think Potter liked your valentine much!"

"You should've just stuck with a card" Ella added

Ginny covered her face with her hands and ran into class. Snarling, Ron pulled out his wand, but Ella pushed him away.

"Ella," Harry said looking angry "you're better then him."

"Says who?" Ella said crossing her arms

"You're my sister," Harry looked at Draco and back to her "he's a bad influence on you."

"Come on, it was embarrassing wasn't it?" Ella asked

"That's not the point," Harry argued

Draco grabbed onto Ella's arm, staring down Harry who glared back at him. Ella walked in front of Draco, looking her brother in the eyes.

"You can't let those girls mistake kindness for interest," Ella said "you'll hurt them more then I ever will."

"Let's go," Draco said pulling Ella down the hall

Harry sighed, shaking his head. Later that night Ella and Draco entered there common room already tired from the day.

"Ella" Draco said getting her attention

"Yeah" Ella replied, sitting down by the common room fire.

"Happy valentine's day" Draco said kissing her cheek before saying "good night" he winked to her before running up the stairs and into his room.

Ella sat there stunned as a deep blush ran across her cheeks.

"Wha-" Ella covered her face before shouting "Draco you can't run away after that you idiot!"

The second years were given something new to think about during their Easter holidays. The time had come to choose their subjects for the third year.

"So what are you going to choose" Draco asked Ella

"I'm not sure, I really like care of magical creatures though" Ella answered

"I'm not a huge fan of that class" Draco said, rolling his eyes "It's taught by a big oaf."

Ella laughed and wrapped her arms around Draco's waist with her head on his chest

"I'm cold" Ella said

"Me too" Draco agreed wrapping his arms around her with a slight blush on his face

Later that day, Ella and Draco sat in the Quidditch stands to watch the match between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff. The game just started when Professor McGonagall came half marching, half running across the pitch, carrying an enormous purple megaphone.

"This match has been cancelled," Professor McGonagall called through the megaphone, addressing the packed stadium. There were boos and shouts.

"No way, why?" Ella questioned looking at Draco

"All students are to make their way back to the House common rooms, where their Heads of Houses will give them further information. As quickly as you can, please!" McGonagall continued, then she lowered the megaphone and beckoned Harry over to her.

"Let's go Ella" Draco said

Ron went running up to Harry and McGonagall as they set off toward the castle. McGonagall turned around and looked up at the stands.

"Potter" McGonagall shouted

Ella left Draco questionably and went over to the trio.

"Yes professor" Ella said

"Come with us" said McGonagall turning around to the castle

They followed Professor McGonagall back into the school and up the marble staircase. But they weren't taken to anybody's office.

"This will be a bit of a shock," said Professor McGonagall in a surprisingly gentle voice as they approached the infirmary. "There has been another attack... another double attack."

Professor McGonagall pushed the door open. Madam Pomfrey was bending over a fifth-year girl with long, curly hair. And on the bed next to her was--

"Hermione!" Ron groaned.

Hermione lay utterly still, her eyes open and glassy. Ella covered her mouth as her eyes teared up.

"They were found near the library," said Professor McGonagall. "I don't suppose either of you can explain this? It was on the floor next to them..."

She was holding up a small, circular mirror. Harry and Ron shook their heads, both staring at Hermione. Ella was holding back tears and McGonagall rubbed her back.

"She will be alright" McGonagall reassured and Ella nodded

"Thank you professor" Ella said wiping away her tears

Ella solemnly walked out of the Hospital Wing, this wasn't supposed to happen.

"Ella." Draco stood by the door waiting for her

"What are you doing here?" Ella asked

"Waiting for you," Draco said "everything alright?"

"Yeah," Ella smiled taking his hand "let's go."

Draco looked away slightly and began walking with her back to their house.
