CHAPTER fifteen

"Brother Kan, it's noon. Let's eat something, brother. "  Phat walked towards
Kan.

" Where do you want to eat? "Kan asked anxiously.

"Let's take a carriage ride in Nong Bua, P'Phat. "Phon suggested.

"What's a carriage ride?"  Miles asked with genuine ignorance.

"  In the village of Nong Bua, just beyond the city, they have a river running
through it. They have made a place for people to swim in the water and there
are some restaurants on both sides of the river. Sitting on a chariot, it's the
seat they made out of bamboo on a platform that extends down to the river.
Kan people call it a chariot ride. " Phat explained.

{ NOTE: As I explained in the last chapter, Kan people are those who are born
and live in Kanchanaburi. )

"Come on, Brother Miles. The atmosphere is really good. " Beam said.

"Okay, I was just wondering."  Miles said with a smile.

"Then you'd better go in P'Kan's car, P'Phat will be faster." Phon said.

"Okay, I'll have to park the bike at the mall first. " Phat replied.

"You can go to P'Kan's shop, it's on the same road. " Beam said when he
remembered.

"Okay, so l agree with you. Miles, go get in the car with P'Kan first, I'l ride my
bike. " Phat said

" I can go with you. " Miles said.

"It's noon now, the sun is shining. Go by car, you don't know the power of the
sun in Kan... You're going to be sick. -
"  Phat said grumbling.

"Yes, Brother Miles. Come with Phon, let's meet P'Phat at P'Kan's shop. Don't
make P'Phat worry about you. " Phon said with a smile.

"You talk too much, Phon. " Phat said to his younger brother.

"All good. " Miles replied, before everyone left the fish feeding pier.

Miles walks to Kan's car with the others, Phat goes to his motorcycle.
Kan drove his car to his shop, Phat followed him and soon they arrived.

"Come and park this way, Phat. " Kan called Phat to park the motorcycle in
the garage next to the store.
When Phat pulls up, he leaves with Kan.

"Wait a moment, I'm going to take Beam to Mom and Dad to spoil him. "  Kan
said jokingly.

Phat chuckled lightly, before walking towards Miles who was beside Kan's car.
Miles was looking at Phat.

" Is this Kan's shop?"Miles asked Phat.

"Hmm...it's a family business. " Phat replied, before seeing Kan's parents
leaving the store.
Kan's mother left hugging Beam.

"Hey guys, where are you going?"  Kan's father greeted kindly.

" Hello. " Audi, Phon, Phat and Miles raised their hands to honor Kan's
parents, which both accepted with a smile.

"  Let's eat at Nong Bua. Mom and Dad want to go too? " Audi naturally
asked, because he was close to Kan's parents.

" Another day. Take good care of Beam, be careful that he doesn't fall into the
waterfall. "  said Kan's father.

"Uncle is only worried about Beam. So the uncle isn't worried about his son,
is he? " Phon smiled.

" If Kan falls into the water, let him float, haha. " said Kan's father, making
everyone laugh.

"Okay, he loves his son-in-law more than his own son. " said Kan, but
he was also having fun.
