I apologize for falling off the face of the earth... I have had severe medical issues and wasn't able to write much between sleeping and doctor appointments. I know this may not be the best chapter but I promise it'll get better from here! Thank you all for your support and love and I hope you enjoy!

Wednesday's POV
I start running toward the entrance of Nevermore, Thing on my shoulder. "Do you know where she went?" Thing asks by tapping on my shoulder.
"Knowing Enid, she would have run somewhere she thinks I wouldn't look. Crackstones crypt is too obvious, anywhere on Nevermore property is too obvious. I hope she realizes I'm not as stupid as she might think. The only place she'd go is the Gate's mansion."
"How do you know that?" He asks.
"She'd think I'd look in places where she isn't scared of. She's terrified of the Gate's mansion and her nightmares prove it, so she obviously would run there. But I worry Tyler or Laurel Gate's are still using the abandoned building as their hideout." I say as I make my way to the car and get in.
"Lurch. Gate's mansion." I hand him a paper with the address and he grunts as he rushes to the mansion.
I can't get the thought out of my head. The glowing in her eyes, the length of her claws, the pure deadliness in her growl. She was stunning. Enid was attractive.
But it worries me. She didn't smell or hear me as most werewolves would have. Her senses didn't kick in during her nightmare and not for a while afterward. Is she sick? Or are her nightmares that bad? Or is there something even deeper that is interfering with her senses?
"Wednesday?"
"WEDNESDAY!"
I startle as Thing is frantically tapping on my shoulder. "We're here." He taps out. "But what were you thinking about?"
I ignore him and I open the door and see the gates to the entrance of the old house. I start making my way toward the side of it.
The memories of that night coming back. I lied to her about a girls night out. Enid was scared but I made us split up. But the entire time, I made sure to protect her. Always pushing her forward first, keeping a hand nearby to feel her still there. But I couldn't leave the snood. Before we left for the semester, I made my way back here for the snood. Enid said she'd make me a new one, but I didn't want the new one. I wanted the one she made me for my birthday. But I would never admit that to her. I made my way over here one night, broke a window on the side of the house and made my way upstairs to the dumbwaiter. Nothing was going to stand between myself and that stupid snood. So I practicallu destroyed it. No one was using it anyways and Thing didn't have enough time to tell Enid about the little adventure before we left for New Jersey.
But as I make my way toward the window and hear a scream.
ENID!
Enid's POV
"Where is she, Enid?" Tyler spits out, half transformed as a Hyde, still half human, pinning me to the wall. I can feel the blood starting to drip from my shoulder where his nail is digging into me, keeping me in place.
"I wouldn't tell you. She's probably already home by no- AHH!" I scream as he digs his nail further into my shoulder, the pain radiating down my back. I half wish Wednesday was here... But at the same time, I deserve this for hurting Wednesday. But I would never tell him that Wednesday came back for me, that she's in our dorm right now, that she's hurt.
"This would all be over if you would just tell me where Wednesday is you stupid mutt."
"She's at home for all I know, I'm not in charge of her!" I growl as I try to escape his grasp.
"And leave her precious dog behind? I doubt it." He snarls. "For some goddamn reason you have a hold over her, haven't you noticed? Or are you really that stupid?"
I growl and break away from his grasp, causing a gash going down my arm. "Why are you so obsessed with Wednesday you creep!" I say regaining my strength, adrenaline running through me.
"Leave. Her. Alone."
I look past Tyler as Tyler turns toward the sound of the voice. My eyes widen as Tyler laughs.
Wednesday...
"Well, well, well. Hello Wednesday. Have you come to protect your dumb mutt?" He says with a smirk.
I can't help but let a whimper escape my throat. I can see a bandage on Wednesday's neck and face and my heart drops to the floor. I hurt her and yet... She's come to find me... Or she's come to kill me for attacking her...
But I notice that Tyler's attention is fully ok Wednesday and I decide to make my move and attack him from behind. I dig my nails into his back and his hip, his scream echoing through the house. But before I could sink my teeth into him, he fully transformed into a Hyde and threw me into the far wall. I hit the wall and I whimper as my body falls to the floor. I felt my bones crack as I hit the wall and I know I've broken something.
I've done it this time... I think to myself as I try to stand up but immediately falter under my own weight. I look over and see Wednesday, her eyes are full of different emotions, some I have never seen before. They're flashing over her eyes as if a bullet train was behind schedule. Worry, anger, sadness. Her eyes keep flickering between the Hyde and myself. I watch as tears fill my eyes from pain and worry.
This is all my fault. Wednesday got sucked into another fight all because of me. It's my job as her friend to protect her and not put her in danger and yet... here we are.
I watch as Wednesday pulls a knife and lunges at the beast but the kife is violently hit out of her hand but I don't know where it was thrown, until I feel a stabbing pain in my stomach. Before I can do anything, my vision goes black and my head hits the floor with a thud.
Wednesday's POV
"ENID!" I scream as the knife lands in her stomach, her entire body going limp, most likely from shock. I can't tell from here, but it doesn't look like it hit anything that would kill her. But if I don't kill Tyler and get her medical attention, she surely will die and I am not allowing that to happen. Yet.
I pull another knife and ready myself again, this time, I'm not letting Enid get caught in the cross fire and the Hyde and I begin the dance. We circle eachother until I am between Tyler and Enid.
Preferably, I want to kill him, but I would unwillingly settle for him to turn and run. As he lunges toward me I am able to fight back, grabbing his hand and attemptimg to stab him with the knife. I catch his arms and he backs away, seething, as I watch drops of blood hit the floor. I take another take another strike toward him but he moves as the floor gives way from where he was standing and before I could adjust, I fall through and hit the floor with a thud. I manage to stand myself back up but before I could make it back upstairs, the Hyde was gone. I rush over to Enid who is still laying on the floor, her breath shallow. I rip a part of my shirt and pull the knife out, holding the wound to stop the bleeding. But I notice Tyler didn't leave without a warning. A small 'T' was carved into Enid's arm.
My eyes sting as my blood boils. This isn't over yet, but my priority is Enid.
After managing to get the bleeding to stop, at least enough, I carry her back to the family car and lay her in the back seat. Lurch drives us back to Nevermore as I tend to her wounds. Him and Thing will get Enid's belongings and she will be staying with us over the break.
Especially after tonight, I refuse to lose the one I lo-don't mind being around.
