35. Promise?

" Aah " A groan left his mouth as soon as he opened his eyes.

" What the fuck " He swore under his breathe because of the way his head was throbbing and their was complete darkness in the room, he sighed looking for his phone around him but found his left hand struck, he opened his eyes groaning and found Shehnaaz sleeping on his left hand, her hands wrapped around his torso and her head resting on his chest.

She looked at peace, Sleeping almost over him, there was this happiness pn her face while sleeping that he could appreciate even in the dark.

He was so lost in admiring him that he almost forgot that he was having a bad headache, his trance was broken by his cell ringing somewhere that he was finding a moment ago, He sighed looking at it beside her, but that ring was disturbing her sleep, she frowned and groaned turning to the side Entrapping his left hand under her completely that he had to turn himself to the left so that he doesn't end up hurting himself

He was quick to pick it up and silence it the next moment and she sighed in sleep, he patted her head a few times so that it doesn't disturb her sleep.

He looked at his screen to see it was 4:30 in the morning and he sighed and then he looked at the caller that called him a few seconds ago.

" Shanvi " It read and he frowned, he re dialled the number and waited for a few seconds before it was picked up.

" Hello " He spoke, he knew she wasn't someone to call at this hour of time if it wasn't necessary.

" Sidharth " She sighed
" I'm sorry for disturbing you at this hour but you had a surgery at 5, there was no sign of you and you have not been checking your messages " She spoke and he mentally slapped himself for getting drunk the previous night when he had to operate today.

It has slipped out of his mind completely, but can he operate in this headache, he had no idea

" I.... I forgot " He whispered and she frowned.

" You what..... " She asked unsure if she heard it correct.

" I forgot yaar, I am suffering from a hangover at present so don't yell " He replied and added a warning because he knew she was going to shout at him hearing his reply.

" I don't know, Anyways I will be there, bus thoda late hoga, Get the patient in pre op at 5 , I will be there by 5:20 " He whispered

" Koi hai tere saath, How on the earth are you so calm early morning " She asked unsure on how was he acting calm in this hangover, he was someone who used to throw tantrums waking up after getting wasted the previous night

" Hmm " He spoke, not really intending to tell, something further and she understood like she has mastered doing it.
