The Journey Ahead

17. Two Conditions

The sisters woke up as the sunrise hit their face. Kajal groaned and snuggled her face more into the pillow. While Naina sat up and remembered all the incidents happened last night. She took her phone and started scrolling through it. She played a song which really annoyed Kajal and she shouted at her sister, "This is what you should behave when a person is trying to sleep beside you." "Yes" Naina replied and went towards the washroom and Kajal threw a pillow towards her in frustration.

Naina came out of her washroom after having a shower. It has become their daily habit to take a shower in the morning. She saw Kajal still on the bed scrolling through her phone.

"Now get up and have a shower. I was thinking to go to the local market today." Naina said. Kajal put her phone on charge and said, "Yeaah. We haven't gone their gor so many days. We will eat that kulfi also. If it's still there."

Kajal was only going inside the washroom when she suddenly looked around and said, "Prepare a speech to say in front of mom. And I don't want her to cry again." She went inside after saying this.

Naina has already thought in her mind what she will say. Yes getting married to someone whom you don't know is hard. But it's seems that they don't have any other option also.

The sisters went downstairs where they saw their dad reading the newspaper and their mom helping the housemaid to prepare the breakfast.

Naina directly went towards her mother and said, "Mom we are ready to get married." Kajal was shocked will be an understatement. She felt that the floor under her feet vanished and she looked at her sister with large eyes feeling like to kill her on the spot. Maybe Naina is ready but she isn't.

"Really you're ready for the marriage." their mom said.

"Yes" "No" both the sisters said together. "What??" their mother asked getting confused. "Yes. She also means yes." Naina said.

Mrs. Malhotra got emotional and went towards her husband to say the breaking news of their house while Kajal kept glaring at her sister.

Mrs. Malhotra was talking to her husband when Kajal asked, "When was all this planned??" "Last night." Naina replied.

"Maybe you are ready to get married but I am not."
"Try to understand Kajal. The situation is only like this. Let's get married for now. The rest we will do when we will reach the house of our in-laws. And the conditions I'm going to give will be very tough for them to find." Naina winked.
"I didn't understand anything." Kajal said. "Once we will went to our room I'll tell you everything. Now wait and watch." Naina replied.

They went towards their parents who were already discussing about their wedding. About the wedding whose bride is decided but groom isn't.

"But mom we have two conditions." Naina said. "Now conditions also. Tell me what are they." Mrs. Malhotra said.

"No. 1. We both will get married to the same house which means find groom who has a bachelor elder or younger brother so that we both can get married."
This time Kajal smirked. She got to know her sister's plan.

"And next. Find a family for us to get married where we will stay like the way we stay here. That means we can continue with our jobs and can do whatever we like inside or outside the house."

"These are the conditions. Now tell me will you be able to find a groom for us." Naina finished.

"It's impossible to find a groom according to your conditions." Me. Malhotra said. "Then forget about our marriage." This time this was Kajal.

"No no beta. Give us some time and we will let you know." Mrs. Malhotra said. "Okay so good. And also to let you know that me and Kajal is going out for marketing. We will be back by lunch time." Naina added.

After having their breakfast they went to their room to get ready for their marketing. They wore their favorite sundresses for the day. They went to some local market bought some accessories and finally ate their favorite kulfi. In all the sisters enjoyed their day fully.

After having their lunch which was with no chaos they watched their favorite movie and then went to their room to settle their things.

Suddenly both their phones beeped up indicating it's a message. The sisters looked at each other surprised that how can they get a message at the same time. They took their phone to see the message.

Ms. Naina Malhotra and Ms. Kajal Malhotra, the leading ladies of their times are invited to attend their school reunion happening on 31st July, Sunday. We will be very grateful if you be a part of this event. The event has been arranged in the school premises only. There fore the sincere request for you guys is to attend the event only to go back to your golden time of your life.
