"The night was hectic" Naina thought.  As per the people present there Aryan was drunk. But why would he drink? As much she knows him he wasn't a one to drink as habbit but rather a one to drink in occasion. And for him the situation was going hard. She needed to talk to Aryan. Something is going in his mind which is disturbing.

Soon they reached their house. It was almost 3 in the morning. They were a bit tensed as nobody would expect them to be out at this hour. When they were setting off thankfully the security guard wasnt there. The security guard was supposed to be here but fortunately he wasnt. That's why they could take out their car and didn't have to wait for any cab or any public vehicle. But what they feared most at that moment if the security guard was back. So they came up with an excuse. If the security guard spot them they will say we went to the beach as Kajal was feeling suffocated inside the four walls.

They were utterly thankful to god as they didn't find the security where he should be. They wondered where he could. But without giving any thought on him anyone they went inside carefully to avoid coming across anybody.

As Naina and Kajal went inside they found the lights on. No one was supposed to be up at this moment. Wondering who could be they started going towards their room when a voice came startling them,

"How is Aryan?"

They turned around only to find Nandini standing there with her arms crossed. "What are you talking about mom?" Kajal spoke out while Naina stood there nervously. "Ohh. Stop it Kajal. If i am asking then I definitely know." Nandini scolded. "Tell me Naina."

"He's fine." Naina answered truthfully because she knew there is no point in lying now as her mother already got to know why they were outside. She knew that now she has to be prepared for all the questions that Nandini would be asking. "Alright then. I want both of you to get fresh and come to the terrace right now. I'll be waiting." Nandini ordered with firm voice. "Okay" the answer came.

When went to the terrace after getting fresh they found Nandini sitting on the swing with three cups and a kettle standing there on the front table undisturbed. The moment Nandini saw them she filled two cups with coffee and offered to them. They gladly accepted the offer because they have an unhealthy addiction of having coffee at any time. Nandini took a cup for herself too and said in a ordering voice, "Start". They knew what Nandini was asking to start. And they also knew that they can't  escape the situation so Naina spoke,

"Maa. It all started 10 years ago. We were just like stupid teenagers of 16 years old. And as per me we did the best we could do at that time. You remember the school programme we participated?" Nandini nodded. "It all started from then."

"We were always good teenagers. We knew all those things which were happening inside us were completely hormonal. With hose stupid crushes and all. Maa even I had a boyfriend at 9th grade. Well it was just for few months. And then we broke up. But my feelings didn't fade that quickly. From that day I lost faith in love."

"But we knew we were completely attracted by their physical appearance and not emotionally. We knew those feelings will fade in the coarse of time. So we never thought much about them and completely focused on our studies. But I guess we were wrong."

"Aryan and Ayaan were seniors in our school. They indeed looked good or I can say they were the most handsome boys of their year. And them being the badge holders was a point adding to their popularity in the school. But we were never those cool girls so obviously we never knew about them. So when we participated in the event we were asked to contact them. They were the incharge of the total event. And when we saw them for the first time--I don't know mom it was that moment when the surroundings freeze and everything happens in slow motion and with a bollywood song playing behind. And there we lost everything." Naina's voice broke. Tears pricked her eyes. She couldn't say anymore. Kajal continued,

"After that we started practicing for the event. We started spending time together. They used to care for us. They used to confront people who humiliated us during the practice. They even brought us home when Naina was injured her leg." "Yeah. I remember that day." Nandini spoke.

"Eventually we became close to them. And our feelings became prominent. Mom- I- I mean- you know." Kajal stumbled in her words. "I know what you are trying to say. But I want to hear it from you Kajal." Nandini suggested.

"I- I like Ayaan. I actually love him. From the very first day. I believed that the feeling will fade with time. But it didn't. Yes it true that I have forgotten him for few days when I was in Delhi. But when I again came back here. All those memories became fresh. And I realised that I have never forget him. He was so deep inside my heart that I was just unable to find him for days. But he never left my heart Maa."

Nandini left a heavy sigh. She understands the feelings of her daughters. "So you both like Aryan and Ayaan." asked Nandini.

"No"
"Yes"

Both the sisters replied at the same time.
"Wait. What? Kajal likes Ayaan. And what about you. You don't like Aryan." Nandini asked. "No maa. I never liked him. It was only one sided for him." Naina argued.

"Heyy. Please stop your bakwas ha. Everyone knows that you like him." Kajal said rolling her eyes. "Haha. So funny. No I don't like him." Naina said sarcastically.

"You two stop. Naina tell me. Do you like him?" Nandini asked again. "No maa. I don't. And I'm telling the truth." Naina said. "But your eyes telling something else." Nandini said smiling slightly. "This is not a bollywood movie. That eyes will talk. I love those things but that doesn't happen in reality. I don't believe in love." Naina said.

"Hey you stop ly--" "Don't force her Kajal. She will understand when the correct time comes." Nandini interrupted Kajal and said.

Nandini turned towards Naina and said, "Now Naina. I want to tell you something. Maybe someone has betrayed you in the past that doesn't mean the person who is coming for you in the future will do the same. So think about it okay." She patted her cheeks and gave her a warm smile.

"Now its very late. I think you should get some sleep now. You have your office tomorrow. So go and take some rest." Nandini said. The girls stood up and was about to leave the terrace when Nandini said "And Kajal I will think about what you said."

Kajal understood what she trying to say. She didn't say anything just ran down the stairs to hide her blush.
