Chapter 1

Sage's Pov:

I looked at my Starzap and realized Lady Stella had called for us to go down to her office. In complete panic, I grabbed my boots and frantically put them on. I accidentally startled my roommate Cassie.

"In a rush?" Cassie asked adjusting her glasses.

"Look at your Starzap!" I yelled behind me as I tumbled, tripped, and face-planted on the floor. I quickly got up and finished tying my boot and dashed out of the dorm room.

I ran through the halls and dodge everyone who was walking. Starlings got mad and groaned as I dashed through the halls not letting anyone pass.

My Starzap beeped but I wasn't going to be late. I read Lady Stellla's message 10 starmins after she sent it. Oh, my stars I'm so dead! I can't with myself how will I recover after getting Demotted from the school!!

I can't imagine the horrible things that would happen if I didn't see it now. Today just hasn't been my day at all! Everything has been going downhill!

I finally made it to Lady Stella's office and I burst through the door gasping and panting for air. Everyone turned to the door concerned. "Sage we have been waiting for you." Lady Stella smiled generously.

"You have?" I asked confused as I had finally caught my breath. I'm always ready for action or an adventure. And I'm always ready for a smooth fruity freshly made Star Comomoon Smoothie! But this I wasn't ready for. Plus I took action too late.

"Yes, we have. We also have a few more who are coming along the way. Not everyone's Starzap was on. Not everyone got the notice."

I felt idiotic. I looked around and realized Cassie, Libby, Piper, Astra, and Gemma! Weren't here at all.

Well, at least I wasn't in trouble. But I wonder if she is somewhat upset.

Then Libby and Gemma burst through the door gasping for breath. While Piper calmly as ever walked past them and sat next to Adora.

Astra just zoomed in at accelerating speed. And Cassie far behind running as fast as she could with her little legs.

"Oh my stars! I'm so sorry!" Libby cried as she clasped in the closed seat to her. "We were planning a birthday party for Tessa!" Gemma continued gasping still.

"Gemma!" Libby yelled and slapped Gemma on the back of her head. "Sorry!" Gemma cried rubbing it.

Lady Stella sighed and took a deep breath.

"Alright, I will do an all-call." She took a breath and pulled out her Starzap.

"Cassie, Libby, Gemma, Scarlet, Vega, Piper, Astra, Leona, Tessa, Adora, Sage, Clover, and Ophelia. "What?!" Vega blurted out.

"Ophelia is not a Star Darling why is she being called?" Vega stood up and crossed her arms.

"I am just as confused as you are." Ophelia appeared in the doorway. She seemed so scared and confused. I also realized that there was another seat next to me.

"We need as much help as we can get. And I believed that Ophelia would be our help. Star Land is in grave danger. We have people and aliens coming to our solar system. We have to stop them because they are draining our land. Our home. They are not going to stop until they take control and let us perish. You 13 Star Darlings must save us. Their names are Eon and Vilgax. They want to bring Roncora back. That's why you girls must stop them. You all will be sent back to Wish World to help stop this madness. Please stay safe. And please protect yourselves. I will contact you all through your Starzaps. You will be granting wishes as much as you girls can. May the stars be with you. And may your brave spirits lift you high."

I felt like it depended on us more than ever. She was serious. Then a big explosion happened far away near one of the Star towns.

"Girls get to your shooting stars now!" Lady Stella yelled as she rushed all of us out.

"Itty!" Cassie yelled frantically. She teleported to our dorm and got Itty her pet Glowfur.

Lady Stella escorted us to the station where 13 shooting stars were ready for us. Then the power shut down for a good 2 starmins.

"Hurry Star Darlings! You are Star Land's only hope!"

Her words felt like weights on my shoulders. The ground shook heavily. I watch homes and towns blow up. My home. My family.

"What about our families!" Libby cried tears streaming down her face.

"We have them and will send them to you but you first must go."

We all went into our shooting stars and zoomed off. As we got closer to the ships I realized Starlings and Aliens were in a middle of a war. My heart sank and shattered. I never thought Star Land would be in a middle of a war. But we seemed to be allied.

Explosions on my left and right. I saw Cassie trying to dodge ships that came toward her. Tessa was almost shot. Adora and Astra zipping through trying to make it through.

I couldn't help myself and started to cry. My friends and my whole world. My home was being destroyed.

I was heartbroken. I heard Ophelia scream and realized they got her. I flew toward her and tried to save her. But I wasn't in a battleship. I was in a Star that couldn't do much.

Then a ship destroyed the machine and saved Ophelia. I steered to the coordinates and I watch the rest of the Star Darlings follow the same coordinates.

Then dark magic swarmed all of us. It was dark blue and green. Evil cackling. Dark purple and violet.

I got a heavy feeling in my chest. It was Ronocra. They brought her back. Which meant.

We were too late.
