Chapter 7

Gwen's Pov

Sage and Ben were taking forever. I was starting to get worried. Then I saw four guys running out of the store screaming. Kevin and I rushed down the stairs and saw other people confused.

Ben and Sage walked out a little later and Sage was crossing her arms and Ben was close to her. Something happened and it required those guys.

Kevin and I decided not to bring it up since it seemed to bother Sage a lot. I was going to let her bring it up on her own time.

We all ate some of the snacks Ben and Sage bought and it was time to sleep. We all took turns changing and when it came to Sage she tried her starzap but it wasn't working.

"Hey do you need help?" I asked as she groaned. She turned to me and nodded. I went through my clothes and took out a pair of shorts and a spaghetti-strapped shirt.

Sage looked at it uncomfortably. Something was bothering her. And it wasn't good. I felt sorry for her.

"Can it be an oversized shirt? And some pants?"

"I don't have oversized shirts or pants but I have shirts that are more snug than tight."

Something flashed in her mind and she began pulling at her jumper. They were shorts attached to the shirt. And it was light gray with dark gray stars and lavender ruffles.

"I can look through Ben's clothes." I said trying to find a big shirt. I found a big enough green shirt that she was comfortable with and she agreed to
wear the shorts since it would cover her bottom.

"Do you want to talk about it? Something is bothering you." I asked placing a hand on her shoulder.

Sage backed up and crossed her arms. "It's fine. It's not a big deal."

I don't know why but I felt like whatever they did. She would tell Ben since he got her out of it. I sighed and walked out to see Ben in his pj pants and shirt.

"Ben go talk with Sage."

"Why?" He asked confused looking up from his phone.

"Whatever happened in the gas station? We need to find out." I said sternly.

"We know it had to do with those four jocks," Kevin added.

"Well from what I know. They touched her. She was just looking for a book." Ben said sorrow and guilt filling is eyes.

"Sickos." Kevin muttered.

"Find out where. We need to know everything. We vowed Lady Stella that we would keep her safe." I said reminding them. "We aren't doing so great."

Ben got up and walked to the room where Sage was.

"I hope she will talk to him."

"Why him?" Kevin asked.

"Because Ben got her out of there. He saved her from getting sexually harassed continuously and possibly raped. I have this sense she will trust him more than us." I said sitting across from him.

Rook and Grandpa were out cold sleeping on the bunk bed couch.

"Are you sure babe?" Kevin asked leaning back.

"Yes I'm positive."

"Alright suit yourself.".

"Anyways let's get to bed." I got up and went to put the pull-out bunk bed couch out to sleep. I kissed Kevin good night and went to sleep.

My curiosity never rested.

Ben's Pov

I walked into the room and found Sage sitting on the bed playing with her hair. She was wearing my shirt and not going to lie she looked good.

She looked up and gave me a soft smile.

"Gwen said you needed to talk to me?" I asked sitting on the bed to face her.

"No, I didn't say that." She said looking confused.

"Are you comfortable telling me what they did to you?"

She took a moment to think. She looked down to her hair and played with it and slightly biting her lip.

I honestly she looked kinda hot. Really attractive. She was just perfect. But I need to find out what they did to her.

"They first took the book out of my hand. Then Kyle the guy with black hair started playing with my hair. Then Julio the darker brunette, he grabbed me by my waist and pulled me to him. Then I got out of his grip and Kyle pinned me to the wall. He got in my face and then Jayden pulled me and held me by my hips. I yelled at them and tried to get them off. Then Brandon grabbed my butt and I smacked his face. And Jayden tried to grab my crouch but he and Kyle got into a fight about it."

She started to tear up. I went to hug her and froze. I didn't want to make her uncomfortable any more than she already was.

But before I could put my arms down Sage flew into my arms. Almost making me fall on my back in the bed.

She held me so tight. I hugged her back just as tight. Just so she could feel safe.

"It's okay. I'm here. I won't let anyone else do that to you." I said softly in her ear.

Her face buried in my chest I could feel her smile.

The rest of the night we played hot hands and sticks then eventually fell asleep.

Before I went to sleep I took time to gaze at Sage. She looked beautiful. She hugged me in her sleep not knowing she was. I smiled at her and held her in my arms. Then I went to sleep.
