Ben's Pov

Grandpa Max had entered the highway on his way to a nearby town. Which took so long to come across. It was a pretty boring ride. We started playing charades. Which didn't end well because Sage lost too many times but acted like things from her home planet!

She did do a few things from Earth but she didn't know much. Gwen won, which she wins every time. She kept calling us sore losers.

Sage was the most competitive when we played Monopoly. She taught us some fun Starling games. One was called Tether Star. Sage would make a ball of light, and we would have to keep it off the ground and try to get the opposite team out.

Sage, Rook, and I were on one team while Gwen and Kevin were on another.
We won that game. It was really fun. It also helped pass the time.

We finally made it to Mr. Smoothies. I was so happy. I got my favorite smoothie. Grape Smoothie. I paid for mine, and Grandpa paid for everyone else's. Gween got Mango, Kevin got strawberry, and Grandpa Max got strawberry and blueberry.

Sage looked up at the menu, confused about what to get.

"Found a flavor yet?" I asked, taking a huge gulp. It's big enough to have me start choking.

"No, I haven't. I've never had a Smoothie on earth before." She crossed her right arm over her stomach and rested her left elbow and had her hand on her chin. Then she blew a strand of chestnut brown hair out of her face.

"Maybe try Strawberry Banana? Or Grape?" I asked, trying to help her out.

I guess she got more confused because she looked at me with an odd look. Then it clicked, and I walked up the window.

"May I get a mango and Grape Smoothie please?"

The guy just looked at me for a good minute.

"For your girl?" He asked so plainly and with zero emotion.

Sage looked at me, and I looked at her. I heard Gwen, Rook, and Kevin laughing and Grandpa chuckling.

"Uh no, we are just friends." I replied, trying to silence the laughter.

"You don't look at each other like friends." He said, filling a Smoothie cup. Sage slapped her forehead, putting her head down. She was slightly pink with embarrassment.

The guy handed me the cup, and I paid him.

"Two straws?"

"Nope, one."

"I see sharing a straw."

Gwen, Kevin, Rook, and Grandpa busted laughing like a herd of geese. Cackling and giggling. Gwen was clutching her stomach, and Kevin was holding onto Rook's shoulder while Rook leaned against the table. Grandpa sat down, slapping the table.

Sage was facing the wall, occasionally hitting her head on it and groaning.

I was annoyed and embarrassed to the point I wanted to k¡ll myself.

I took the straw and then saw Sage cross her arms and kick the lamppost.

"Your girl has anger issues?"
