Chapter 8

Kevin's Pov

It was 5:00 am and time to hit the road again. We didn't have to change or get ready because we were just driving down a long highway.

I was on my phone. Rook was updating and fixing his protal tool. Gwen was reading a book. Grandpa was driving. But Ben and Sage weren't up. And Ben wasn't in the bed he was supposed to be in.

I ignored it because they did show interest in each other. But also Sage probably was scared. And Ben trying to the heroic guy stayed to make her feel safe.

My phone was running low on battery and my stuff was in the bedroom. So I got up and walked into the bedroom and found Ben and Sage spooning.

*spooning is like cuddling*

They were both passed out could. Sleeping. I chuckled to myself seeing the sight of the two. Ben laid on Sage his head resting on her chest holding her in his arms. His arms were around her stomach/waist. Sage was laying on her back holding Ben. Her hand was on his head her finger intertwined with his hair.

I grabbed my charger and took a picture of the two.

I stayed for a sec and analyze them. Yeah, it's creepy watching them but yet I could see all the smaller details. Ben's fingers were intertwined with her hair. And they're both holding each other tightly.

One small detail I almost missed. Ben moved his hand to his head and intertwined his fingers with hers. I took another picture and left the room.

Gwen looked me and raised an eyebrow.

"Why did you go in there?"

"I went to get my charger and got some evidence of the "couple". I chuckled and showed Gwen and Rook the pictures.

"Aw!" Gwen said and then grabbed her phone and started heading to the room.

"Babe?"

"We need more evidence of the couple! I'm getting more pictures." She said in a loud whisper.

Rook and I followed her to the room and there was Ben and Sage still sleeping.

Gwen took a few pictures and videos everytime Ben or Sage moved.

"This is gold." Gwen whispered taking a video of Sage wrapping her arms around Ben.

"Gold? I don't understand they are hugging and sleeping." Rook said looking at Gwen confused.

"It means that something is worth like gold. It's a saying." I didn't understand the saying. But did it hurt to act like I knew?

Once that was done we left and Grandpa Max had stopped at a Cafe and was fully dressed.

"Get ready guys. We are gonna eat." He said smiling.

"Finally." I was starving.

Rook's Pov

The Cafe was large and elegant. It was marvelous. There was an amazing scent of this strawberry chocolate pancake flavor.

But that wasn't the only thing on my mind. I kept a close eye on analyzing Ben. I had caught him taking glances at Sage.

Sage had given him a few smiles when they made eye contact. But I saw a mortal friendship. But the couple part started showing.

We all sat down at a round table. Gwen and Sage sat together while Kevin, Ben, and I sat across from them. Mr. Tennyson went to go order food.

"So what are we gonna do today? Sky diving? Ziplining? Oh! Kanno riding?" Sage asked bringing up different ideas.

"What about bull riding?" Kevin asked stroking his chin.

"Or. Sumo slammers Ultimate!" Ben shouted pumping his fist.

"Sumo Slammer really Ben?" Gwen asked with a disappointed expression.

"Fun ideas." Sage pointed out.

"It is fun. It's a cool fighting game. It's more Ultamite than the first Sumo Slammers!" Ben said trying to persuade us.

"What about visiting a water or amusement park?" I added. I've never really been to any except for missions. So I thought why not go there to have some fun.

"Perfect! Thank you Rook! See Ben that's a fun idea." Sage said pointing her hand to me.

"I have fun ideas!"

"Nah uh."

"Yes huh!"

"Nope."

"Yup."

"Oh my God just shut it guys. You sound like 5-year-olds." Gwen said covering her ears.

Sage and Ben shut there mouths and sent each other dirty glares enough to start sparks.
