A Serious Talk

It was a very long and strange week for Scorpio. So much had happened and nothing was peaceful at all yet. While yes, he was supposedly a member of the Kyurangers, it didn't make things easy on him.

Rebellion had a lot of harsh things to say about it all. It had taken a lot of effort for them to be convinced to pardon Scorpio of his crimes and let him stay. It was a pretty common thing to hear people talking about killing him at this point. Thankfully the negotiations worked and he was in fact pardoned of his crimes. As long as he remained with the kyurangers and aided them, he was a free man. If he betrayed them they would hunt him down and kill him. It was a fair deal. Scorpio thought so, at least.

There were still a lot of mixed feelings about him. Kotaro had taken very well to his addition to the group, going as far as to arguably adopt him as an older sibling just like he had with Stinger. Scorpio was very confused by the kid, but was not about to say no to his new role.

Tsurugi was probably the next most accepting of him. Seeing as he didn't deal with any of the drama before Scorpio returned, he was mostly neutral on the whole issue and simply welcomed him as a member of the group. Lucky was also quite calm with his presence. He didn't hesitate to offer to do anything that required being near Scorpio unlike most of the others.

Balance had warmed up to him slowly. He still was a bit wary, but didn't seem as afraid of him now. Naga was too hard to read for Scorpio to understand his stance, but assumed it was similar to how Balance felt right now.

Hammie was still very wary, as was Garu. The two of them very rarely showed up around him. Neither seemed to want much to do with him still. Raptor seemed to be in the same category they were.

Shou Ronpo was also a hard to understand one. He still seemed a bit miffed at his original intention for the man not working, but Scorpio could see a fondness in his eyes whenever he saw Stinger interacting with him. Scorpio assumed the commander was overlooking his feelings in favor of keeping Stinger happy. He did seem to care a lot about all of the kyurangers.

Champ was... the worst. Once Scorpio had gotten relatively stable with his wounds and was able to actually get up from the bed, Champ's attitude completely flipped on him. Before, the robot had been seeming quite neutral, acting happy for Stinger. But once it was confirmed Scorpio was staying permanently and he showed good signs of improvement, that changed. Champ despised him.

That day had a disaster, to say the least. Stinger had casually asked Champ his feelings on everything after they had been discussing everyone's reaction to the news of Scorpio's pardoning. That was when Champ finally blew up and said how much he hated Scorpio for everything and would never see him as a member of the team. There had been a lot of tears from Stinger after that. The younger boy had been hurt deeply by Champ basically saying he wished Scorpio hadn't been pardoned and was to be put in jail for his crimes.

And now Raptor had finally given him the clear that he allowed to leave the infirmary. He was given a place in Stinger's room to no surprise. He was also given some new clothes to wear, courtesy of Stinger's sewing. It was weird to be wearing clothes of his kind after so long, but it gave him a sense of comfort.

It was getting close to lights out when Stinger entered the room. Scorpio had been there for an hour or so. He wasn't very interested in the bonding activities the others did and doubted he would even be welcomed to participate. It wasn't hard to see the glances he was given everywhere he went.

Stinger was just finishing throwing on his shirt for bed when he let out a small gasp and winced in pain. This wasn't the first time Scorpio had seen this occur, but he had never asked about it yet. He figured now was as good as any time to finally get an answer.
