The teens where still kinda the tram all panicking especially Annabeth - she grabbed Percy's hand for comfort as he squeezed it slightly she could tell he was nervous
"What did Echidna say to you" Percy asked Annabeth "She said my impertinence wounded my mothers pride and that will be my doom" She stated
"What?" Asteria asked confusion "Medusas head" Percy explained "I embarrassed my mother"Percy only shook his head in denial "But im the one who sent the head to Olympus"
"I went along with it and now she's angry"
"So what does this mean for us?" Asteria questioned worried "Yeah what are we gonna do" Grover added
"She isn't gonna help us save Percy" Annabeth scoffed - Asteria's breathed hitch "No what are we gonna do about Echidna and Chimera?" Grover asked even more stressed
The tram came to a stop as they all got out - Asteria and Grover helped Percy as he was struggling "They'll be up here any second"
"Then we'll have to fight it up here" Annabeth shrugged as Percy groaned struggling to get up the stairs
"I guess they're gonna stick around and watch" Asteria muttered seeing the room full of "We gotta get everybody outta here"
"You guys follow them down" Annabeth instructed "Are we about to split? Thats like the one thing your not supposed to do!" Asteria ranted
"We're not splitting up" Grover denied "Grover come on" Annabeth insisted but they didn't budge "No, no, no we're all getting out of here together"
"Dead or alive" Asteria mumbled "We wont make it, Chimera is the demigod-killer" Annabeth reminded "Someone has to stay back to slow her down and but everyone some time" Annabeth was basically sacrificing herself
"Help him down the stairs and get him to the river" Annabeth repeated their plan "Dont stop til you get the bolt" Annabeth was about to shut the door
"Percy no" Asteria whispered as he reached into his pocket she knew what he was planning - he turned towards her "Im sorry but be careful please Asteria" He seemed worried as he kissed her cheek - she began to panic "What? No im not letting you do this" She whispered
He ignored her and took the sword out and handed it to Annabeth "Take this" He stated - Annabeth grabbed it as Percy pushed her inside "Wait!" They all said "Percy please" Asteria pleaded "Percy don't do this" They could hear the footsteps as he walked away
"What are we gonna do? We can't just let him go" Asteria stuttered out "He already left we can do anything, he chose to go" Annabeth stated not even coming up with a plan to save him,not even caring about him "Screw you" Asteria scoffed
"What?" Annabeth questioned approaching the blonde "You heard what i said dont act stupid" Asteria replied with the same attitude Annabeth had
"What's your problem" Annabeth pried "My problem is that you expect everyone to put up with your bullshit" Asteria
"Enlighten me then what do people have to put up with" Annabeth crossed her arms "Don't act because stupid sooner or later Annabeth you'll realize all your bad decisions are gonna have consequences and there gonna effect all of us" She stated
"Stop!" Grover yelled puzzling both the girls "Enough you two" He seemed stressed "We need to help Percy instead of standing here and arguing"
"Asteria i know your mad that Annabeth refused to try to come up with a plan" Grover mentioned he knew her well - the group went quiet as they heard yelling and the Chimera growling
"That didn't sound good" Asteria whispering overhearing what was going on behind the closed door "Poor thing just fell" She could hear Echidna
𝐯𝐢𝐯𝐢⸻speaks shortest chapter yet? also sorry that annabeth and asteria argued i just had to come up with something so it wouldn't be that short, i love annabeths character so i dont want her to have beef with asteria
