Hopeless pt1 (angst)

This chapter includes swearing and character death.

Sadie ran for her life, wildy yelling spells at the two headed snake. But it was too late.

Her brother Carter tried to help but he was knocked away by the snake's tail. Sadie knows this is the end. No one can save her now.

Her brother? Almost dead.

The gods? They are in they're own battle.

Her fellow magicians? At Brooklyn House.

Her Boyfriend? MIA.

Sadie knows that right here, right now, she's going to die.

But Sadie Kane does not go out without one last insult.

'Fuck you, you leathery double meat headed bitch.'

Sadie's eyelids begin to droop. But right then, a dark beam of light appears and out comes...

Anubis?

He scans the battlefield before his eyes lock with Sadie's.

His brave eyes turn fearful and worried.

He rushes towards Sadie, whose breathing becomes even more unstable.

'Sadie...' He whispers, teary eyed.

'Anubis...' She manages to say.

And there, in the warm hands of her godly consort, the great Sadie Kane passes away.

Anubis is no longer grieving or worried. Now he is angry.

He swears to every god there is, he will avenge his love.
