been about seven hours since you had Mina help you with the laundry, even though it wasn't even her place to do your own chores. This was the first time she helped with chores but she also helped in small ways by letting you take a five minute break, or sneaking you a bottle of water which was very helpful.
Though you knew if this kept happening the pack would find out and may punish Mina for just even talking to you in a kind way.
You just sighed, and looked outside the window. The sky has now became a beautiful gradient of a dark midnight blue to pitch black. With stars that were scattered across the sky, like paint splattered across a canvas.
The two lights of what your pack calls "city" started to flick off one by one.
Soon it was just a silent dark filled city, with the crickets chirping in the vast night. You wished you could stay and look outside the window more but you had a curfew. You weren't allowed to be out of your room after midnight, which you thought was just dumb. But it's not like you had a say in that also.
So you started making your way slowly to your room, before you got in trouble.
You got to your room in about two minutes, and opened the door. Again it let out a loud creak which would alert any wolves who wasn't deaf or busy "mating" in the middle of the night.
As soon as the door was opened you took a small step in before closing it behind you and waited for one of the warriors to lock it.
After a long painful ten minutes, you heard the door click, and footsteps becoming fainter and fainter with each passing second.
Thats when you let out a deep sigh and made your way to the small drawer in the corner of the room. You open one section and take out the pictures before putting them in a small little torn and worn out bag. You opened the next drawer and take out the money you have been secretly saving and counted it all. 2670$
Your next pay check was this weekend, but this may be the first and last time you could get a chance to escape like this. Not only because the warriors are changing shifts but also that no one was awake in the pack house for once. Usually there would be at least three guards in the pack house that were always awake but you just guessed that they were asleep.
The warriors should be changing shifts in about twenty minutes, so that gave you some time to think about how and what your escape plan was.
You knew you should've planned your escape earlier, and not on the very day you were going to escape, but you weren't thinking at the time.
You just wanted to get out of this hell, and today was the very day, to the brink of freedom.
You started to pace back and forth in the room, hoping something would come to mind to let you leave without being spotted.
The door to your room is now locked so you couldn't use that. And the only other way outside was....
I'm going to have to go out the window...
You knew it was insane, especially that the fact that your room was on the third floor. But there was one way to get down "safely" without having to break a limb or two.
You walked over to the window and opened it and looked down where the wall was. There was a thick metal pipe that ran all the way up and down to the roof, and ground, which could work. Though some parts of the pipe had rigid edges, and you knew f you slid down that you most certainly get her hands sliced up. And the last thing you need is getting someone to smell your blood while running.
You looked around your room again trying to see if there was anything that you'd could use to get down without cutting yourself.
That's when you looked in the corner of your room and saw the thin blanket that you used to lay down on.
It was paper thin but surprisingly durable, and would have to do for now.
You walked over to it before bending down and pick it up by one of the torn corners, and went back over to the window and looked down at the pipe, then the ground.
You wished it was winter right about now, mainly because there would be soft fluffy snow to break your fall, but it was early summer, which meant the ground was mostly definitely not soft.
You would just have to use your legs to break the impact without being to injured, even though it was exactly your cup of tea.
Now since your way to get out of your room, next was the actual running.
Now yes you were a werwolf and werwolves, we're a lot faster then humans, so you could just shift into your wolf and run past the borders. But there was some errors in that plan.
One your body was both physically and mentally exhausted and weak. And the fact that a lot of your wounds from the members of your pack gave you, were only being covered up by a thin piece of bandage. And you were pretty sure one of your wounds re-opened which was good in your part.
And being in such of condition, would mean that you wouldn't be able to physically shift into your wolf to run. You would have to just run on foot and pray that no one catches you sneaking out.
You knew the warriors wouldn't hesitate to just shift into their wolves and catch up to you easily, but that would be out of the way since they were changing shifts.
So that was it, your somewhat grand plan to escape. It wasn't perfect, and if it failed it would just mean you get dragged back here and torn to shreds to the point you wished you were dead. But you didn't plan on failing, you were so close to freedom, and the gods wouldn't punish you even more after all you've been through right?
You shook your head a bit, before inhaling, and exhaling letting out all your nervous thoughts fade away from your clouded mind.
This was it, the key you held onto this whole time, seeing if it would be able to unlock the big metal door that kept you in your cage for so long.
Be the key...to your freedom.
