I opened the door and my mom was in the kitchen. "Ma puedo ir a un sleepover with the boys in the treehouse," I asked her
"Quien va a estar allí" she asked me
"Just the boys," I say
"What about Jordan," she says looking at me
"Definitely not I broke up with him. He was cheating on me with Haley" I said rolling my eyes
"Ese puto sorry y/n," she said looking at me
"No ma don't be I slapped him," I said laughing
"Esa es mi hija," she said laughing
"So can I go," I said looking at her
"Va a estar allí Benny"
"Yeah"
"Ok, then why not. But be careful and take care of yourself and the rest" she said
"Gracias," I said running up to my room. I changed into black Nike shorts and a T-shirt. I got my sleeping bag, phone, charger, flashlight, pillow, first aid kit, and extra clothes. I got everything and went downstairs and waited for Benny to come for me. A few minutes later I hear a knock at the door "Bye ma"
"Bye," she says. I walk out the door
"Hey you ready"
"Hey, yeah," I said smiling
"How have you been," he said making eye contact
"Good. But tired I was playing soccer yesterday until 12" I said laughing and he laughs too "How about you Mr. Rodriguez"
He laughs at my comment. "Good too"
"Are you excited for your birthday?" I say to him
"Yeah, Are you," he says looking down at me
"Yes duh, 15 I can't believe it," I say. I'm going to have a quince. And Benny does not know this yet but he's going to be part of the court I have to ask them but not quite yet.
"Hey losers," I say putting my things down
"Hi," they all say back
"WHO WANTS MUSIC" I yell
"ME" they all scream and Benny starts laughing we all climb down I put on music the first song that comes up is a baby by Justin Bieber. I pull out a soccer ball and start juggling with it.
"Pass, pass" I hear Benny say
"Well Mr. Rodriguez it's kinda my thing," I say giggling and he smiles
"GO BLUE," Ham says and I look at him
"Hey, hey that's mine thing too," I say laughing and after 10 minutes we go back into the treehouse. We were all having a blast and laughing until. *ring *ring. We all looked at my phone and I turned it over it said "Phillips🖕🏾💀"
"Give it," Benny said and I gave him my phone and he picked it up
"Hello," Benny said said
"Ay who is this" Jordan said
"Who is it," Benny said
"I mean your number was in my girl's phone," Jordan said
"His girl I say quit," I said mad
"Who's your girl, man," Benny says
"Y/n" Jordan says mad
"Y/n" Benny says laughing
"Ay don't play dumb are you talking to her or what, tell me what it is," Jordan says even mad
"Oh man," Benny says laughing
"I mean is she tryna talk? Y'all talking or something" Jordan says
"Look man I don't know why you are so worried about y/n you cheated on her so stop with the bullshit and leave her alone," he said mad, and hung up
"Thanks," I say smiling at him
"No prob-" *ring *ring
"Oh my god," I say mad, and pick it up
"Y/n-"
"Shut the fuck up and get your shit together and leave me the fuck alone I don't want to know about you or Haley so stop calling me. And no I'm not crying I'm not even surprised. I should have never dated you bye hoe" and I hung up and blocked the number.
"AYYYYY Y/N FREE," Yeah yeah starts screaming
"AYY," they all say, and me and Benny start laughing
"Come on we need some sleep," Benny said
"Uhhhhh," Ham says
"He's right guys I have a long day tomorrow," I say and they all look at me
"What are you doing tomorrow," Kenny says
"Oh nothing," I say giggling as we all got into our sleeping bags I'm trying to find my blanket
"Damm I'm so dumb sometimes," I say
"What happened," Benny asks
"I forgot my blanket"
"Don't worry we can share mine" he says
"You sure," I say and he nods his head. I turn off the light and put my sleeping bag next to his.
"Just come in mine," he says
"Ok," I say and go in with him I lay next to him and he put the blanket over us.
1 hour later passed and I still couldn't sleep. I move to face him. "Can't sleep huh"
"No," I say
"Come here" and he opens his arms. And I go he's so warm and it reminds me of that one night. I drift off in Benny's arm where I feel safe as always.
