"NO, WE DONT"

July 1, 1994- Friday
Y/n POV-

"Y/n wake up" I heard a voice whisper "Wake up" They shook me

"What," I said

"You're going to be late," the voice said

"For what and who are you," I said rubbing my eyes

"Y/n it's me your brother and you're going to be late to the sandlot"

"What time is it"

"7:50 am," Alex said

"Ok get out," I said pushing him out. I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth. I was so tired from last night it was so much fun. I headed to my closet to get out boot-cut jeans and my white Mexico soccer jersey. I got my black Converse and put my hair in a ponytail but left some strands out.

I wasn't really hungry so I just got my glove and left. I was so excited for tomorrow because Benny is having a birthday party. I still didn't know what I was going to wear but whatever.

I finally got to the sandlot and all the boys were at the dugout.

"Your late" Squints said

"Yeah yeah where were you"

"First of all I woke up late second none of your business," I said

"Damm someone's in a mood today" keenly said

"I'm not in a mood," I said to him

"Let's just play," I said

"Base up" Benny yelled. "You wanna bat today first," he said

"Sure," I said taking the bat from him. Benny threw the ball at Kenny

"Y/n first," Ham said

I turned around and flipped him off

"See you are in a mood," Ham said

I got into position and locked contact with the ball it came fast "Crack" The baseball went fly and I stopped the bat and ran to first then second and then third I made a home run but thank goodness it didn't go over the fence.

Benny jogged over to me and gave me a high five. He got into his position.

"Smalls throw it to second," he said and Smalls put a thumb up.

We played more and took some breaks in between

At this point, it was 7 so we took a break.

We all walked to the dugout.

"Can you pass me a sprite?" I said to Benny

"Yeah here," he said handing it to me

"Y/n" Yeah yeah said

"Yeah," I said

"Benny," Squints said

"Yes," he said looking at me

"We have a question for y'all," Squints said

"Yeah," we both said

"Do y'all like each other?" squints said

I spite out my sprite

"WHAT" I screamed. I could feel my face go a bit red.

"NO" me and Benny both said

"But y'all flirt with each other" Ham said

"NO, WE DONT" we both shouted

"Whatever y'all say," Smalls said

"Guys let's go home," I said

We all got our things and left. As we were walking I was trying to keep my distance from Benny. But as the group got smaller it got harder.

"Bye love birds" yeah yeah said to us

"Shut the fuck up and go inside," I said. Benny started laughing and so did Smalls. Yeah yeah, and Smalls went inside and it was just me and Benny.

"You're helping my mom Tomorrow right," he asked

"Yeah," I said looking down

"Bye y/n"

"Bye Benny," I said and went inside.

"Look who it is y/n Rodriguez," Alex said

"I'm going to kill you," I said running towards my brother.
