Chapter twenty two: Forever and ever

-Next morning. Sharon is awake first and goes downstairs to have breakfast-

-When she gets into the kitchen, Shelley is already there-

Sharon: Morning, what has you up before me?

Shelley: Couldn't sleep in. So you're proposing tonight?

Sharon: Huh? TONIGHT?!

Shelley: Yeah, I overheard you last night on the phone with dad, and then right after you told Sheila that you were taking her out on a date tonight.

Sharon: Nonononono- Im not ready! I can't- I haven't had time to think of how i'm gonna do it or-

Shelley: Mom, chill! You'll do fine.

Sharon: What if I mess up? What if-

-Just before Sharon could finish, Sheila walks into the kitchen-

Sheila: Morning, girls. Oh, am I interrupting something?

Sharon: NO- Uh, nope, nothing at all!

Sheila: *sigh* I'm making a coffee.

Shelley: That was close (she mouthed)

Sharon: Shut up! (also mouthed)

Sheila: I'm going back upstairs to watch tv in bed. Sharon, you coming?

Sharon: I'll be up soon, just going to make myself something.

-Sheila shrugs and walks away-

Sharon: You better not blow my cover, not a word out of you!

Shelley: I know, I know! You don't think I want this to go well also?

-Sharon looks at Shelley with a sort of confused expression-

Shelley: Look, I really like you two together ok? And it's good to have another mom to talk to. So, I would be really happy if you two got married. That's why I don't want you to mess this up- Why I believe you won't mess this up!

Sharon: Oh, honey... that's so sweet, I didn't know you felt this way about Sheila.

Shelley: Well, I do, don't get all sappy.

-Sharon hugs Shelley tight-

Sharon: I love you so much!

-Shelley hugs Sharon back-

Shelley: Love you too, mom.

Sharon: I'm gonna go upstairs now.

Shelley: Don't fuck it up!

-Sharon lighly punches Shelley's arm-

Sharon: I wont!

-Sharon goes upstairs-

Sheila: Hey, everything ok?

Sharon: Yeah. You excited for our date?

Sheila: Very excited, but I feel like you have something planned. You really have been acting weird the past couple days leading up to this.

Sharon: Well I guess you'll just have to wait and see.

-Hours go by, it's almost time for their date, for Sharon to propose-

Sheila: I still don't know exactly where were going on our date.

Sharon: I told you, it's a surprise. 

Sheila: Guess ill just have to wait and see...

-Sharon and Sheila drive to the Hill, they park the car and get out to look at the view-

Sheila: So this was the surprise. Wow, this is stunning!

-While Sheila is fixated on the view, Sharon holding the ring and gets down on one knee-

Sheila: This truly is beautiful, I don't know how this night could get any better-

-As Sheila finishes her sentence, she looks over to Sharon-

Sharon: Sheila, every moment I have spent with you has made me the happiest women alive, and I want to be with you for the rest of our lives, forever and ever. Will you marry me?

-Sheila froze and began to tear up-

Sheila: Is this why you've been acting so weird? I-

-Sheila breaks down in tears of joy-

Sheila: Yes, yes! I will marry you!

-Sharon sheds a tear, Sheila gets down on her knees and passionately kisses Sharon-

Sharon: Words can't even describe how happy I am right now! I love you so much, Sheila.

Sheila: This is the greatest moment of my life! I love you, Sharon!

-For the rest of the night, they watch the stars together holding hands-
