y/n was awkwardly sat in her house's living room, not making eye contact with the man beside her.

seungeon was silent, looking down at his white socks as their mothers were chatting away.

y/n was now changed into a flowy white and [f/c] dress, white knee length socks with top ruffles on. she was forced to wear it as her mother set it out for her before y/n even came home. ollie greeted her with a big hug as soon as she arrived from the shen's main house.

"so uhh... how are you?" y/n awkwardly asked, glancing at him via the corners of her eyes.

she could see seungeon smile brightly, his cheeks turning a very light pink.

"I'm doing good, thanks for asking y/n. how are you?" he asked back, his smile and blush still very much evident.

"I guess I'm doing pretty okay. I had breakfast with a friend but that's pretty much it." y/n replied quietly, picking at her nails.

seungeon nodded before asking another question. "do you have any plans later?"

"well, me and tianyue were gonna have some cousin, more like sibling, bonding time. we both have been too busy to actually hang out and stuff so we were just gonna go around the city and stuff." she replied, nodding to herself.

seungeon nodded along with her before asking yet another question. "do you know the next time you're free? we could hang out if you want." he offered, making y/n shake her head.

"sorry, seungeon. I'm pretty busy for all I know. I've made these plans with people for forever so I can't really afford to change any of them, considering how long it took to just choose what's gonna happen." y/n said, technically half lying.

she was lying about the fact that she "couldn't afford to change the plans" because with her friend group and boyfriend, they could literally do anything that they wanted at any time. she also wasn't as busy as she claimed she was. yeah, she had a few things here and there, but she wasn't everyday busy like she has been telling seungeon.

"oh." seungeon frowned before nodding. "that's cool."

y/n nodded along with him, still not making any eye contact or properly looking at him.

this was getting really awkward.

"okay dears, how about you two go out for a walk or something. we have a few things to discuss." y/n's mom finally spoke, the two women looking at the "children" in front of them.

"alright. we'll see you later then." seungeon nodded with a smile. y/n just nodded, standing up and making her way to the door.

after the yoo family left the l/n household, y/n immediately changed into something much more comfortable.

she was now in some ripped baggy jeans and a comfortable shirt. she left her room and knocked on ollie's door.

"olls? you ready?" she asked pressing her ear against the door.

"yeah, just a second!" ollie called back, finishing something in his room before opening the door. "okay, I'm ready now. let's go!" he cheered, linking arms with y/n as they left the house.
