L/N Y/N ; THIRD PERSON ; HAN FAMILY'S HOUSE ; 11:47PM

y/n, ricky, and ollie were at the han family's house to pick up yujin.

they just pulled up in the driveway, ricky's black porsche 911 cabriolet shining under the moonlight.

"okay, we're here. is he ready?" ricky asked, looking at ollie who was sitting behind him on one of the backseats.

ollie called his friend, not wanting to alert any house workers that they're there at almost 12am.

"hello? yeah, we're outside now. just be quiet, okay? yeah, see you in a bit. bye." ollie spoke, conversing with yujin quietly.

"okay, he said hes gonna be out in a few." he informed, nodding his head at the two in front of him.

y/n nodded back before looking at something on her phone. a couple texts just came up, making her phone go off a couple times.

"who was it?" ricky asked curiously as he looked over at y/n.

she now had a face of confusion and horror as she stared at the name of one of the texters.

Mother (DO NOT REPLY). her mother texted her after literally years of never actually contacting her online.

'why the actual fuck did mother text me..? she never bothered to tell me anything or even to call me at all...' she thought, still staring at the name.

"y/n? what's wrong?" ollie asked, leaning on top of his knees to try and see, his elbows supporting him.

"it-it was m-mother..." y/n said quietly, her breathing becoming shaky. the two males in the car gasped, eyes wide and mouths agape.

"wait... you're kidding. aunty would never text." ollie said, confusion spreading around his face.

"I-I'm surprisingly not.." y/n spoke, showing her phone to ollie.

"wh-what did she say? it must be something really fucking important if she only texted you just now." ricky asked, lowkey starting to get pissed. this woman didn't know boundaries and neglected the children, now a teenager and a young adult, under her care.

"I don't know, and I don't care anymore. I can just open it later. I won't l-let her ruin tonight for us." y/n said sternly, making her boyfriend and cousin smile. she needed to get rid of her somewhat fear of her birth giver and grow a backbone. she's already grown a tolerance to most of the pain, physical and emotional, that she gave her, so it was now time to start standing up properly.

just as she turned on 'Do Not Disturb,' yujin finally showed up at the front of the vehicle.

"sorry for taking so long, I had to sneak out of my window because there were maids outside of my room." the 16 year old apologized.

"it's alright. get in." ricky smiled, tilting his head to the back. yujin nodded in response, literally hopping into the empty seat beside yujin.

they were in a convertible and the hood was opened, thus allowing him to literally hop into the back.

"hey yujin, it's been a while." y/n greeted, turning to look at him as ricky pulled out of the driveway.

"hi y/n, hi ricky, hi ollie." he smiled, greeting them all. "I'm pretty sure the staff knows I'm not in the house anymore since the big window upstairs is open but it's whatever." he added, shrugging.

"I mean, yeah. it isn't the first time this has happened." ollie agreed, speaking about the other times that they've come over to pick up yujin really late in the night or really early in the morning, as well as the times that he's actually run away from home for long-ish periods of time.

"where are your parents off to this time?" y/n asked, facing in front again as she stared up at the red light they were at. they planned on going to the park for a bit to stargaze and hang out before they drove around the city, where some parts has just woken up.

"they're going to canada this time. something about meeting a few business friends there? something about a matthew as well." he shrugged, trying to remember what they told him the day before. he wasn't paying much attention as he was eating but picked up the more important bits instead of why they were going.

"oh, as in matthew and yaeby seok? I'm friends with matthew because my family is business partners with them." ricky smiled, thinking about the random ass things that him and matthew did when he came to china.

"oh yeah, them! I got along with matthew really well too! n/n and yaeby got really close too." ollie exclaimed, remembering the seok children, who basically took both of them in while they were there.

"I miss yae... she might have advice for all of this stuff going on." y/n muttered, a deep frown on her face.

"princess, turn that frown upside down. you look cuter with a smile and frowning will give you wrinkles." ricky told her quietly, placing a kiss on the side of her head when they were stopped at another red light. "everything will be alright. we'll find a way to stop the marriage and stay together. I'll always be here to support whatever you do as well." he whispered to her, taking ahold of her left hand and giving it a gentle squeeze.

throughout the rest of the drive to the park, he didn't let go of her hand at all. the simple and tiny gesture really helped y/n with her worries and struggles that night. it reminded her that she wasn't alone and that she could get through everything.

their night went really well, having yujin sleep over at ricky's house. instead of sleeping, they played video games and watched random shows all night.
