Drake's P.O.V.

I am scared out of my mind right now! My siblings won't eat, they refuse to talk unless it's about Serena, and Serena is in a coma, barely alive!

Thinking she was happy somewhere was had enough but now she's with me an deathly ill? I wish it was still the earlier.

That doesn't even count on the fact that she turns out to be the Rogue Ice King, as some call her. To think that she is a girl!

My pack will want vengeance for the lives that were lost as children disobeyed our rules. The only problem with that is the fact that they are my mate and family. I can't lose them again!

Maybe if they tell us where they buried the corpses, then there might be room for leniency.

The only problem with that is if she never wakes up or dies.

If she wakes up then i can make her Luna as i have already unmarked her sister. They wouldn't dare harm their Luna... Or would they?

*** 1 Day Later ***

Serena's P.O.V.

White.

The bright light as i opened my eyes caused spots to dance in my vision and my eyes to water slightly.

The tile ceiling looked like one from an infirmary. Hmm...

With that thought i tried to sit up, or even move. I was stuck.

As i looked down i panicked. My body was strapped down to a metal surgical table with leather bounds.

I wanted to scream as i moved my body. Every movement caused pain to shoot threw my shoulder, head, and neck.

The beeping sound increased and started to go faster. I have to get out of here!

The creak of a door opening made my head snap up to look and a groan escape my lips.

My struggle ceased for a moment, until i saw who it was.

I have to get out now!

Drake's P.O.V.

(a little before Serena awoke)

I was talking to the doctor as he was telling me about my mate.

"... I had to run a blood test to see why the transfusion wasn't needed. It seems she has a special gene that allows her to be protected from almost any poison and from blood lose." He honestly seemed mystified.

"Then how was it possible for her to almost die?" I mumbled. Even with my quiet, voice he seemed to hear.

"It's possible that wolfsbane effects her more than the rest of us because she is protected from other weapons."

"How is that even possible? She was an omega before..."

"Alpha, she is a pure-blooded alpha female who seemed to be abused most of her life. This, added to the fact that she was rejected AND a mother rogue, she is automatically empowered by the ancient power of the moon goddess or her daughter." Doctor Mali stated cooly.

"WHAT?!"

"Since she has brushed death, she can now communicate with the moon goddess and he daughter. "

"How is that- wait, what is that sound?" It was almost a beeping sound and it was getting faster.

"That would probably be Serena waking up, in extreme pain, and realizing she is bound to the bed... You may want to lea-" i cut her off.

"I am her mate and i will calm her down!" I shouted, my alpha voice leaking into my words.

How could she honestly think that i would harm my own mate? 'Well duh' snorted my wolf, 'all she has ever known from you is abuse!'

"I do not believe that is a good idea, Alpha."

"I am still going so shut your trap and leave me alone!" I growled.

"Yes Alpha." she murmured.

I slowly opened the door and the creak of the hinges alerted her.

What i saw in her eyes as she saw who i was, well... It was a million knives diving into my chest.
