Athenia's P.O.V.

Since that day i have stayed by my mother's side.

Some idiots, like my ex-mom, tried prying me away. Those imbeciles! Don't they know not to mess with a mother who just found her lost pup? Especially since that pup has been harmed?

Every time they came near, mama would stand over me and snarl at the approaching personal. In some cases, the person seems actually worried, but that was rare.

We have even gotten into a habit in the last few days.

Every day i will wake up curled against mama. When she sees I'm awake, she carefully gets up and stretches.

Soon after someone brings out food and we will eat lunch. They really only give enough for one so mama lets me eat most of it.

This worries me because she almost seems to be getting sick, like deadly sick! And i can NOT lose my mom, i just found her.

Any way, after the food mama teaches me how to fight. That is interesting in itself.

And then it is time to sleep. Every night i will sleep curled up in mama's warm, fluffy fur pelt.

The only sad thing is that Falon made me promise not to tell anyone, including mama, that she put a spell on me to make me three years older than i truly am.

I want to see my big sissi and big bro again. This just has to be impossible because of my stupid father! His family was right in front of him all these years!

Now he has to force the ones he 'loves' yo stay with him. It really is sad.

I mean, who abuses blood so much that they will do anything to get away?

Any who, we really haven't seen any of the pack around and my 'DAD' hasn't shown his face. (If i were him i wouldn't want to either.) i always wondered...

What would have happened if the circumstances were different?

Just then, that prick of a father decides to show up. Walking towards us like he was king, that devil.

As he walked toward us, i crawled under mummy, rousing her, and she snarled at him

Serena's P.O.V.

I heard a whimper from the object snuggling under me, trying to hide.

I immediately jump up and snarl at the threat to my pup. They won't hurt her or take her away from me if i have my say!

I can feel my eyes shift color as i look at my ex-mate, so confident... cocky. He even strolls like he owns the universe, what a conceited *ss!

I know when my eyes turn their bloody red, the red that shows my blood lust. I just want to tear him apart right now but i must protect my pup first.

I know this is a trap. It is very obvious when he comes out with no guards. I mean, who will let their alpha out, into danger, without back-up? Honestly, who do you think he was kidding?

"Why, hello Serena! How is my lovely mate today? Are you enjoying yourself?" His voice had a playful ring to it and this just riled me up more. So of coarse, i growled.

"Now, now, is that any way to treat your beloved mate? Or your pups father?! Really Serena, you should act you age." He took a step closer.

I heard my daughter whimper. That BASTARD! How can he be so cruel as to frighten his own daughter!

"Now, i want you to either change back so we can talk like civilized beings or i will be taking my daughter."

I took the blanket and wrapped it around me as fast as possible after i shifted. I took my daughter into my arms, holding her tightly.

"So talk mutt. I don't have all day."
