Well, here's a short Chapter update.
But you need to know

Wednesday sat in her room typing furiously on her typewriter while she waited for Enid.

She had to tell her what had happened. And that curious business with Principal Weems.

Suddenly, the door burst open and the girl rushed toward Wednesday.

"Oh my God, you're back. Are you all right?"

"Yes, no need for hysterics," Wednesday replied dryly. "However, there is something I need to tell you. There's something wrong here."

"What do you mean by wrong?"

"What do you know about Principal Weems?" Wednesday asked, and Enid wondered what her roommate was getting at.

Both girls sat on Enid's bed and Wednesday told her what had happened.

"So, did she really say that to you?" rang out Enid's voice and Wednesday answered in the affirmative.

"I need to find something Enid. Are there old records from before here from the school? Old files?"

"I don't know but we could go to the library and look."

Even though Wednesday didn't expect to find anything, she agreed. It was a start.

"Thing." Spoke Wednesday. "You come help."

Thing gave a thumbs up for an okay and followed.

When they arrived at the library they split up.

They didn't know exactly what to look for, but started with old school plays.

After about an hour, they met up with a small pile of different books and sat down at the large table.

They leafed through and read.

"I wonder why your mother and Principal Weems do every recital together?" said Enid curiously. "Your mother was really pretty."

Wednesday looked at the book and frowned. Why are her mother and Principal Weems acting out a romantic drama? Wednesday wondered.

"Do you think maybe your mother and Weems had an affair back in the days?" inquired Enid gently, having Wednesday's attention.

"I don't know, but it's time to find out."

Wednesday slammed the book shut, stowed it in her bag, and rose.

"Come on. We have to go."

Enid smiled at her and nodded in affirmation.
