Senior trip part 2

My heart finally calmed down as we left the parking lot. I looked back over at him while he pulls something out of his bag. It was the same book I have been reading. "Wow...." I kinda chuckled. "What?" He replied and I pulled out my copy of the book. He chuckles which I found very cute. "First time reading or re-reading?" He asked. "Fourth time reading it. What about you?" "Third" he smiled. We asked each other about the book and answer each other's questions. "I'm Knuckles by the way" he said and held out his hand. "Sonic" I replied and we shook hands. We started talking again about the book and he looks over then back at me. "I think your girlfriend is getting jealous" he said and i looked up seeing Sally sneering at us and I rolled my eyes. "That obsessed bitch is not my girlfriend. I can't tell you the amount of times I told her that I like guys not girls" I froze realizing what I just said. "Guess we got something else in common the liking guys part" he said. I felt relieved that I didn't make things awkward. "Oh by the way about your eyeliner if you add a little thin shark fin at the bottom corner it'll look badass" he smiled and I grabbed my eyeliner from my bag. "May I?" He asked and I nodded. I turned to face face and he redoes the underline of my eye before I felt him make a line in the corner pointing down. He does the same to my other eye and the whole time my heart started racing each time I caught a glimpse of his eyes. "There we go" he smiled and I looked in my phones camera and was loving the look. "Ok that does look badass" I smiled. "Told ya" he grinned and started reading his book as I admired the new look. Here this guy who might've been a jock was putting on eyeliner on another guy and did awesome. "I need to ask how do you know—" "how to put on eyeliner? I got two little sisters at home who like to play makeovers. Also my uncle is a drag queen so got some advice to teach my little sisters." He smiled and I smiled like genuinely smiled. "That's awesome how old are your sisters?" "Six, five, seven and 16" he said. "Wow" "my brothers are 21, 22, and 16" he said. "Big family" I replied and he nods. "Yep dad wanted a big family and so did my mom yet after my last little sister was born she had enough." "Well yeah" I said and we laughed. "Do you got any siblings?" "Yeah a older brother and sister. Both of them are 21 and unfortunately my sister is one of the chaperones....." I pouted. "Yikes dude" he chuckled and I was blushing a bit. His phone dings and he opens the notification seeing his hedgehog friend sitting next to silver with the caption "Starting off the trip with a new friend" and I smiled. "Guess your friend just befriended my friend" I said. "Right?" He smiles. We started talking about our friends and soon we were the only students still awake on the bus. I realized it was time for my blood tablets so I pulled out a PEZ dispenser and took out two. "That's smart" he said. "Yeah... can't really risk getting in trouble ya know?" I said and he nods. I picked up my bag to put it back when my sketch book falls out. He picks it up and noticed my sketch..... of him. "Is that? Me?" He said looking at it closer. My heart was racing faster than myself and I struggled. "I swear I drew that a month ago I had no idea you were real..." "I kinda figured since you dated it and plus I haven't seen you draw once the majority of the trip. Plus the back ground in the window is a bit different." He smiled and handed me my sketch book. "It's really good by the way you got some talent" he said and I blush taking it back. "If ya want I can show you my other ones" I said. "Ok" he smiled and I started showing him my other sketches before the one of him. He was impressed and it made me feel good that someone else thought I was good that wasn't my friends, parents or teachers. Then we got to my wolf drawing and I saw the color in his face drain a bit. "Are you ok?" "Yeah just ummm wow" he smiled before yawning. "It's getting late let's get some sleep" I said and he nods. I turn off the bus light over us and drift off to sleep. Knuckles was still awake looking out the window as his heart was racing.

"I knew it.... He was the vampire I stopped tails from hurting.... Damn it..."
