Meerabs room was smaller than Murtasims, it somehow felt cosier and more intimate. She layed on her side with his arms wrapped around her.
Murtrasim hadent considered that he would enjoy spooning so much. The softness of wifes bare skin was making contact with his body- they were one. They were still naked- taking in the silence in the aftermath of the love that they made. United under the blanket and in hearts.
She though about how she would wear these anklets in her daily life- every jingle of the bell would take her back to that climax and the look of carnal pleasure on her husbands face - rendering her unable to function. 'Thankyou Murtasim.'
'Kis cheez kay liye meri jaan?' He whispered, not wanting to disturb the serenity that had encompassed them.
'Mou dikhaye kay liye.' She was still in a state of bliss.
'Apnay haq kay liye bhe koy thankyou ketha hai? Waisay bhe, They look good on you.' They looked damn sexy on her. Murtasim had imagined the way they would shine at everystep she would take. He looked forward to hearing that twinkling tune everytime his wife is near him.
There was a comfortable silence as the suns rays began to creep upon them. Murtasim was concious that he had to leave soon and he prayed to god above to strech the sunrise - just for them two to be able to remain in each others arms a little longer, to bask in the warmth of his wife. His arms traced lines on the length of her arms- leaving a trail of goosebumps.
She felt so safe wrapped him like this. She would never forget the way he had saved her- her hero. He had left the world behind, raced against time and ran to get to her.
He had even fired a bullet for her. 'Aik? Aik he goli chalay the tumnay?'
That was all it took to immobilise Anas. 'Your husband is a sharp shooter.' He smirked- as though it was a prized skill. All those years of hunting had paid off - one could say Anas was a wild animal too that he had hunted.
Then he heard her ask him, 'You could have killed him... because of me?' She was questioning how far he would go. What point was too much to ensure that she was safe? Where was the line drawn between enough and too much?
'Without hesitation Meerab.... Kyun kay mein tumse bepanah mohabbat karta houn...'
Her heart flittered and the need to see him filled her. Meerab turned around to read the emotions in his face. He seemed relaxed now, as though the worries had now past - there was no regret for his action. Maybe even a little pride at protecting the one who he loved the most.
'.....but I didnt aim for his chest. It hit his leg.' He explained and his eyes flickered to her now semi exposed chest and pull the blanket up - it had pulled down as she had turned over. Then his hand came to rest on her bare shoulder, his thumb caressing the skin.
She nodded. He didnt shoot Anas to hurt him- but to prevent him from escaping and hiding. By that account, it was a proportionate action that he used to debilitate him.
They were face to face now, practically breathing in the same air. Their hearts beating in unison beneath the same cover.
Murtasim questioned why she doubted the depth in which he loved her with, especially after the steps he had taken to demonstrate this. 'Tumein nahi malum woh 5 minute kaisay beethay thay mujpar.' Murtasim didnt want to think of the 100 alternative endings to Anas driving off with her. He took a deep breath, 'Woh aik makkar insan hai- kuch bhe karsakta tha...'
