The following days were quiet and uneventful, but Issei took advantage of it by training whenever he had the free time. A lot of students also noticed him spending less time with people he knew and always saw him training along with weighted clothing and wristbands. Issei didn't gave a damn to their gazes nor cared for their opinions.
"Issei-sama you've been training a lot lately, any progress?" asked Ravel while handing an electrolyte drink to Issei. "Yeah, i've gotten a lot stronger even if i don't look like it, the same goes for speed as well. Well, it's two more days before i stay over at your home right? I'm going to ask Riser and Ruval to train me." Issei replied while wiping off sweat with a towel. "Ummm...Issei-sama, what will you do in the underworld besides from training?" asked Ravel curiously. "I'll ask Sirzechs to make me a free devil so i can be free of the ORC for good, but i have to do it in the underworld so the ORC wouldn't even realize it." replied Issei coldly. "I see...oh yeah, in the next week is the field trip. We better be prepared." mused Ravel before heading somewhere as Issei nodded and resumed training.
"[You're certainly improving partner. I am honestly impressed.]" commented Ddraig as Issei was doing arm movements and several martial arts moves. "Yeah, not to mention i threw away all my adult stuff and sold it online. I was able to make a lot of money to give to my parents to pay the bills and any extras." added Issei with a snicker. "[So what now? What will you when the time comes when it's time for the Rating Game?]" asked Ddraig as Issei stopped at what he was doing, "I don't know...but i...will get stronger, not for the ORC but for myself and others. when i'm staying over at the Phenex household, i'll contact Sirzechs and make me into a free devil, that way i am free of the ORC for good." Issei replied while resuming his training while Ddraig fell silent and decided to accept Issei's words.
Time passed by and Issei soon found himself at Phenex household where he resumed training and sometimes sparred with Riser's peerage and even learned several new moves and gained new abilities like copying the Phenex flames with Riser's approval and at some point during training with Ruval, Issei unlocked a new power which allowed him to switch into three different forms which specialized in three types of combat. Issei then named it: 'Illegal Move Triaina', and hoped to reach his own queen upgrade form.
Issei during training discovered three things about the Triaina forms and decide to make strategies.
1. Dragonic Rook specialized in heavy defense and close combat, it's reduced speed makes it good for close range
2. Sonic Knight specialized in hit and run attacks due to it's light armor which emphasizes speed
3. Blaster Bishop specialized in heavy bombardment and increased demonic power, suitable for mid to long range
"So i need to train harder to unlock the queen promotion which specializes in all three abilities, but how will i get it?" mused Issei while looking at the sky. "[I don't know partner, but it might be a combination of training and a certain trigger to get that form.]" Ddraig replied feeling a bit unsure.
Soon after, Issei then visited Sirzechs and told what happened and asked him to turn him into a free devil, the maou agreed but asked him if it was okay for him to do so. Issei told him that he needed to be away from them. And thus Issei became a free devil with no ties to the ORC, he was free at last.
"So Issei, since the field trip is coming on thursday, what will you do?" asked Sirzechs while Issei was thinking about something. "I heard that Azazel made a working dimensional portal, i want to test it out, but i have to tell him to make a cover story that i decided to go on a six month journey of self discovery. "Hmm...that's a good idea, but are you sure this is the right thing to do? Ravel might miss you." mused Sirzechs while seeing that Issei had a good idea. "About that, i'll tell her, plus i'll promise her that i'll be back, and i hope it doesn't take six months!" said Issei while making a joke to which he and Sirzechs laughed about.
