By the time Steve and Jules made it into the main chamber, it had already broken into another fight between S.S.R and HYDRA soldiers. Jules stumbled forward into the main chamber first with Steve right on her tail, both taking a moment to absorb the chaos they'd just ran into.

A sea of HYDRA soldiers ran across  the chamber in a panic. They moved as a single mass in the opposite direction as masses of S.S.R soldier poured into the room from multiple entrances, some even running around Steve and Jules as they charged into the fray, guns blazing. Jules' senses were overwhelmed with the mixture of blood and gunpower so strong her eyes nearly watered.

Jules felt a soldier accidently shove past her as he ran in, slightly tripping on her outstretched wing as her body was pushed out of the way and into Steve's side. He swayed lightly from her weight being pushed into him, glancing down at her quickly and placing his hand against her shoulder to brace them both.

An explosion went off just left of the pair, the building shaking slightly as the fire erupted into the air before dissipating into smoke against the ceiling. Jules ducked her head low while Steve covered his with the shield, both trying to avoid the debris and wooden splinters raining down around them. Two bodies flew through the air as well, screaming in pain as they collided back with the concrete. Well, one was screaming, the other didn't move again.

It seemed as though the fighting from outside had simply moved inside the base with the amount of shooting back and fourth occurring. HYDRA agents had all retreated inside figuring they would have a better chance of holding the base in a smaller environment. However, the sharp flashes of electric blue contrasted heavily against the regular muzzle flashes was enough proof to show their chances were no better inside.

The room started to fill with a deafening roar, Jules squinting in pain as both she and Steve' eyes shot to the massive black airship stationed further into the chamber. She instantly recognized the ship as Schmidt's Valkyrie, the other plan he had for global domination, a growl rumbling in her throat as she watched the engines power up and the propellors on the back slowly begin to turn.

Jules shoved into Steve to get his attention. He glanced at her quickly before following her gaze.

Schmidt's in there, he realized.

The ship slowly began to turn to the left, aligning its nose with the runway that ran through the heart of the mountain.

Steve stepped up next to Jules in a hurry. "We need to get on that plane!"
