Bapa: chapter 19 (The Toddler)

Chapa POV:

I just explained everything to Mika, I'm actually glad she asked understandable questions and not stupid ones. And I understand, I would have questions too. On our way back to the Man's Nest we stopped by McDonald's to get a milkshake.

"But are your parents okay with it?" she asks.

"With what?" I say.

"Well you said you're living with Bose right? Your parents allow you to live with him?" she asks.

"Yeah, my parents are totally fine with it." I lie. I won't tell her about my family situation and the old house I used to live in for several months.

"Nice." Mika says.

"Do you know what time it is?" I ask.

"4:45 PM, don't you have a phone? I never see you on your phone." she says. Ugh why does she have to be so smart. I indeed don't have a phone. I hate to lie but I also hate it to tell the truth. I can't deny this anymore.

"I hate to lie so I'm just going to tell the truth but, my phone got stolen by a boy a few years ago." I say.

"What? A few years ago? How can you communicate with people?" Mika asks.

"I don't communicate with people, I can barely do anything." I say.

"Why can't you buy another one?" she asks.

"Because I want my old phone back, and I don't have money for a new one." I say.

"Oh I'm sorry to hear that." she says.

"No don't be. Besides, when I find the boy who stole my phone, he'll be dead."

"Maybe he didn't do it on purpose." she shrugs.

"I don't care, he made me like this, he stole my innocence and ruined my life." I say.

"I never really had friends or a good bond with my family, my phone was the only thing I had. I always had to share stuff with other people except for my phone. It just hurts when you realize what that boy took from me." I say.

"I think I understand. But why are you telling me all of this? Does Bose even know?" she asks. Now I'm realizing that too. I just told Mika all of my drama I never told Bose or anyone else. Ray knows about it because Henry, Charlotte, Jasper, Piper and him helped me looking for it, but he promised me not to tell anyone else. Besides they don't know the full story, they think it was stolen a few weeks ago.

"I don't know why, Bose doesn't know, neither does anyone else. I think I told you because you can understand me." I say. It's nice to talk to Mika, but I'm not telling her that because that's too emotional and shit.

"I feel honored." she says. I laugh.

"Now I got a question for you." I say.

"Ask." she smiles.

"Are you in love with Bose?" I ask but not in a super serious way.

"What? Bose? No sorry. He's a sweet innocent boy but not my type." she says. She sounds like she's meaning it. And we all know she can't lie.

"But you're always looking at him, and why did you spy on him earlier?" I ask.

"I wanted to ask Glerp more questions about her planet and everything, and I have to admit I was worried about Bose. But that's not because I'm in love with him. He's my friend too, and I don't want an old grandpa as my friend." she says.

"I said the exact same." I relate. Suddenly I hear a beep. Mika grabs her phone and says: "Oh it's an emergency."

"Where?" I ask.
