Amy came back from Foxfire later that day. She wanted to talk to Meira about her new Froster ability after school because Meira had detention. So, after school, she took Meira to the teachers' lounge (which her dad had shown her) and talked to Meira. Halfway through their conversation, she got a call from her Imparter. It was from her mom.

"Hi, Mom!" Amy said as her mom's face appeared on the screen. "Hi, Amy! Oh, hi Meira! Congrats on your manifesting!" "Thanks, Mrs. Foster!" Meira replied, smiling, "I should go, Amy. Bye!" "Bye Meira!" Amy said waving. Once Meira left, Amy's mom looked serious. "Amy, can you come home now please, we need to have a family meeting." "Okay Mom, is everything okay?" Amy asked, concerned. "We just need to talk as a family. Don't worry" her mom smiled. Then, her mom's face vanished from the Imparter, leaving the screen black. Amy quickly ran out of the teacher's lounge, and light leaped home.

Errol came home first. He came home right after school was done. When Amy came home, everyone was sitting quietly in the living room, staring at her. "Hi, Amy!" her dad said, "Come sit." He patted the seat next to him. Amy reluctantly sat down, and suddenly Emma covered her face with her blond hair.  Before Amy could react, her mom began to speak. "Today we are gonna talk about abilities.

Amy knew this conversation would come. She had always feared it, but always avoided it. She kept her head down until her mom told her to look up. She showed her children the scroll that was delivered that morning. Emma read it out loud so everyone could hear it.

"Dear Lady Sophie Foster and Lord Keefe Foster,

We are here to inform you about your twins' progress in Foxfire. Your twins are sweet, kind girls and always a joy to have in sessions. However, Emma Foster has not manifested but Amy Foster has as a Telepath and a Polygot (at age 13). Errol Foster has also manifested (at age 13) as an Empath. We are sad to inform you that if Emma Foster does not manifest in the next 3 months (before she turns 16) she will be ranked Talentless. We fully support your family during this difficult time. If you have any questions or need any help, please come to my office or hail me.

Magnate Leto

Principal of Foxfire Academy"

Amy and Errol gasped. Emma looked down and covered her face with her blond hair. Amy ran toward Emma on the other side of the couch and hugged her. "I'm so sorry! Why didn't you tell me earlier?" Amy asked. Emma sighed and replied, "I didn't want to worry you. I just learned this morning from Magnate Leto." She sighed, then whispered, "Are you mad at me for this? You know, that I might be talentless?" Amy gasped, "Of course not! Being talentless or not doesn't change anything!" She hugged Emma again.

Keefe chuckled, "I told you that being talentless or not will change how much we love you." he said, while Sophie held Emma's hand, "Mr. Forkle has an idea that might be able to help." Emma let go of her dad's hand, and moved her hair out of her face a bit, and then asked "What is he gonna do?" "You'll see tomorrow." Emma groaned, "Fineeeeeeee...."

Emma trudged back up to her room. She quickly took a shower and got changed pjs (I cant spell lol) and jumped into bed, her cat Oliver, jumped up from under her sheets and ran to her desk chair. Cats were not pets in the Elvin world, but her dad got her mom one as a wedding present. Oliver loved Emma the most, and he was always in her room. After petting Oliver, Emma clapped her hands, and the shades closed, holding her stuffed dog, Muffin, she fell asleep, ready for the day ahead.
