KEEFE POV (it all is but I feel so happy to write it lmao):

KEEFE! HI! HI! Sliveny said as Keefe got on her back, the mid-afternoon sun shining above them. "Okay Glitter-butt, remember the drill?" I asked, grabbing onto her maine. She did something that looked like a nod before chanting KEEFE! JERK! JERK! I had to laugh at that, "No I want you to go in the void remember?" I said, not wanting to know what Sophie was feeling when she told Sliveny to start transmitting. After a lot of convincing, I was finally able to get her to go into the void.

"STELLARLUNE IS MY LEGACY! I WILL DESTROY MY SON! THE STAR ONLY RISES AT NIGHTFALL!" I yelled in my mother's stupid eerie voice. Sliveny didn't seem to like it either, chanting JERK! JERK! JERK! after I stopped for a break. "Okay, can we go back now, Sliveny? It seems pretty late." I asked her, and Sliveny nodded, and then we were off.

As soon as we arrived back on Havenfield's soft grass, I heard Sliveny chanting SOPHIE! SOPHIE! SOPHIE! FRIEND! FRIEND! Sometimes I really wished Silveny had an off button. "I don't think she's here, Sliveny." I said, but then I saw her. Her blond hair blowing in the breeze, and her beautiful brown eyes with golden flecks, but I couldn't see them at the moment, because she seemed to be sleeping. Well, that's a first. But I guess Sliveny's amazing chanting woke her, because I started to she her stirring. And then her beautiful brown eyes opened, looking around her. And within seconds, her eyes were on me.

" Is everything okay?" I asked as I got off Sliveny's back and began to walk over to Sophie. She looked pretty nervous, but still nodded. "Yeah, I was just.. waiting for you- and I was starting to think you weren't coming back." Oops. That's called being an idiot, Keefe. I started fidgeting with my cape. "Sorry. I wanted to see what would happen if I had Sliveny fly me around in the void while I talked in my mom's voice. I thought that maybe if I managed to say at least a couple of the right words while I was in there whatever she hid would come crashing toward me." I sighed.

She looked at me with a worried look, "Did it work?" I shook my head, "Not particularly. And in case you were wondering, the void never gets more exciting. It's just darkness and more darkness- and oh, hey, even more darkness! I'm sure Tammy Boy would love it, but man, I'm glad to see colour again." My eyes look and her tunic, and oh my mallowmelt, it's red. I love the colour red on her. But I quickly look back up to her face, where she's blushing as red as her tunic.

Sophie started fidgeting with her tunic. "You could've taken me with you, you know. Or at least left me another note telling me where you went." I froze. We never talked about the note, and what I left in it. I drag a hand through my hair, trying to figure out what to say. But Sophie was quicker.

"Do you want to go for a walk?" Sophie asked, and I agree, happy to actually be doing something. "Are we heading anywhere in particular?" I ask as we walk through the long grass in the pastures. Sophie shakes her head, "Not really. I just need to move. I've been stuck in one place for way to long." "I know the feeling. And if you don't have a specific spot in mind, then follow me- I found the coolest place the other night after training with Grady." I say, thinking of the Grove I was trying to sleep in.  "Sounds amazing," Sophie said, but Keefe knew she definitely was not the biggest fan of it. But they still kept going.

We walked in silence for a few minutes, until I heard a slight scream from behind me and feeling Sophie grab onto my shoulders. "Sorry," she mumbled, still holding on. "You okay?" I ask, looking behind me, "Did you hurt your ankle?" I really don't need to see Elwin today, but if we do need to, I'll take her. "No. Just... uh... getting my bearings." She says. Does she ever get her bearings? I take her hand. "Will this help?" She doesn't respond, but I can tell she's good with it. They kept walking.
