It was the next day, Sophie woke up early. She tiptoed to Emma's room to double check no new ability was causing chaos in her room. She sighed happily and walked downstairs, she sat down on the couch for a while, just thinking, about everything she caused and what she could have done. 

Sophie knew she had to stop. It was bad, Keefe had just told her a few nights earlier, if she ever had a mind break, no one could save her. Sophie is the only person in the Lost Cities that can fix broken minds. So, she shook her head so hard that her neck hurt. She closed her eyes and started counting the seconds. Once she reached 128, she felt someone tap her shoulder. She opened her eyes and looked up. There was her beautiful husband. "Hello there." He said, sitting next to her. She smiled and got up and started walking to the stairs. "Hey where are you going?" he asked, jogging after her. "I have to get something from upstairs. I'll be back in a bit" She ran up the stairs. Keefe frowned, it was odd that she ran up like that, but he didn't let that bother him, so he went to the kitchen to make breakfast.

Once Sophie made it upstairs to her room. She stood by the wall and started to think. First, it was about how to help Emma with her abilities, then it went to how much trouble she had caused. She had made so many people die, keep really deep secrets, get scars for her, die for her, cause so many problems. All for her. Why was she so special compared to everyone else? "Maybe if I was never made, it would be better." she said out loud, then everything turned black as she screamed. (instant writing regret here I'm so so sry guys!)

Keefe was grabbing the ingredients to make some breakfast when he heard a scream and something fall.  He ran upstairs. All the kids were all up now, looking around for what fell. They ran around the house until Keefe went to the master bedroom. There he found Sophie on the ground. "Sophie!" he called, shaking her. She wasn't responding. "Errol," he called, not looking away from Sophie, "can you get my Imparter, please?" "Yes Dad." he replied, running downstairs to get it. Once Errol ran back upstairs with the Imparter, Keefe hailed Elwin. 

"Where's Sophie?" Elwin called (YAY ELWIN MY BESTIE!) when he ran into the house 5 minutes later. Emma and Amy were by the front door and ran upstairs to show Elwin where she was. When Elwin and the twins made it upstairs, Sophie looked even worse. She was pale and sweaty. (more regret) Elwin quickly used telekinesis to lower Sophie in the bed and got straight to work. "Okay, so I have guesses on what is wrong." Elwin began, "One, she has a really bad anxiety attack (makes sense lol). Two, she has the flu. And three...." he trailed off. "What is it?" Keefe asked, looking at Elwin, "Or three, her mind is broken." he said the last part quietly. "WHAT?" Keefe screamed, "No no no no no no no." tears welled in his eyes, Elwin sighed, "We don't know for sure yet, Keefe." he said, taking an elixir out of his satchel and placing it on the bedside table next to Sophie's bed. "This elixir will either do nothing or she will scream and it means....." he didn't finish. Keefe nodded, and they gave Sophie the elixir. Keefe and Elwin stared at Sophie, anxiously counting the seconds and crossing their fingers so tight they turned white. 5 seconds later, a scream filled the room. Tears automatically welled in Elwin and Keefe's eyes. The 3 kids ran up the stairs and ran into the room. "We heard a scream," Amy began, doing her best to look away from her mom, "what happened?" Elwin cleared his throat, wiped his eyes, and did his best to look the kids in the eye, "Your mom's mind is broken." (I'm just going straight to the point here lol)
