"You seriously need to stop doing that." I huff to Ellie from the passenger seat of her truck.
"Stop doing what?"
Ellie shrugs her one free hand on the steering wheel while the other held the gear stick, a sly grin peaked the corner of her lips."Paying for everything. I have money you know."
I trail off, rolling my eyes.
I knew that I didn't have a lot of money, and it was certain to run out, but I didn't want her paying for me out of pity.Ellie laughed at my attitude, shifting the car into first gear as the light turned green.
"I know you do, baby, but I want to.. plus I have a steady flow of cash, and no offense princess, but you don't."Princess. A word she used with the purpose to make me feel small and fragile. I wasn't as delicate as she portrayed me to be, but the pet name she chooses are not random to her, that much I can tell.
I sulk beside her, resting my head back on the headrest as I sigh dramatically.
"What? Are you secretly a millionaire or something?"Ellie chuckles, removing her hand from the gear stick to rest on my thigh, patting it a couple of times and then squeezing the fat together with the tips of her fingers.
"Definitely not a millionaire, but I make money on campus. I sell to ignorant frat boys that can't tell the difference between the good shit and actual shit."Sell. Sell? Her words repeated in my head as my focus remained on her veiny and well sculpted hand. I trace circles on the back of her hand, following up to her fingers and down again. My eyes go wide and I stop the motions, jolting my head up to look at her.
Sell! I thought. I don't know why it never occurred to me that she was a dealer. I mean, I've seen her smoke, and I smell it on her almost 24/7, but it never crossed my mind that she sold it too.
"Is it just now hitting you?" Ellie's said, her focus shifting from the road to look at me with a raised eyebrow before turning her attention back.
"Shut up. Don't tease me for not knowing something you never even told me!" I shouted, more like whined as I sulk even harder.
Ellie continued to laugh at my blissful unawareness, squeezing my leg apologetically.
"I'm not teasing-"
I give her a stern look through half lidded eyes in a 'don't lie to me' sort of way."I'm not teasing. I think it's cute you're jus' now figuring it out. I thought you would've seen my stash. I don't really try to hide it."
Ellie explained as her eyes focused ahead, rubbing small circles with her thumb on my inner thigh. The pretend pout on my lip softened. The new realization made my hands begin to sweat. I learn more and more about Ellie every day. Every new detail makes me more terrified of her. She was so opposite of me in almost every way. Ellie was not a person to falter, to give up during a fight. If anything, she wanted the confrontation if someone tried to challenge her. She was quiet, but her presence demanded attention, and I was the fool who gave her mine.

"I'm so full. I could fall asleep right now." I groan, crawling into my bed before laying on my stomach, not bothering to change into something more comfy."My poor baby," Ellie said sarcastically, almost in a whisper, as she joined me on the mattress, laying on her side next to me, rubbing my back.
I smile at her. My cheek smooshed against the bed.
"You spoil me too much."Ellie's hand stops on my back, reaching up to push the hair away from my face.
"My girl deserves to be spoiled."My heart pounded against my chest, and the warm, tingling sensation returned to my stomach, almost a sick feeling. Ellie didn't even have to try to swoon me. Her voice and how she uses it was enough to keep me hostage, happy to be another victim of Stockholm syndrome.
