Alex.

"Mountain ash." Derek growled. "We're not going anywhere."

"No, Alex can get out." Scott said, looking directly at Alex.

Alex opened her mouth, but no sound came out. This was it. She had no choice now but to tell Scott the truth. She shook her head, looking sadly at her brother.

"No, she can't." Derek growled.

"What? I don't understand." Scott said, shaking his head.

"We don't have time for this now!" Derek said firmly. "She's a werewolf, okay? She can't cross the barrier. None of us can!"

Scott looked at Alex in surprise. He took a step away from her. Alex took a step forward, but before she could reach Scott, someone else barrelled into her, sending her flying. Alex slid across the floor until her back collided with the marble wall. She groaned and placed a hand on the back of her head.

"Mother fucker." Alex groaned.

Derek and Scott raced over to her, pulling her to her feet. She pulled her arms out of their grips just as Cora and Boyd turned to them, snarling, growling, and ready to attack. Alex looked into their eyes and swallowed hard. They were feral. They'd lost all control of themselves.

"What do we do?" Alex asked.

"We stay alive." Derek said, transforming.

Alex looked over at Scott, who had also transformed. Alex had wanted to break the news to Scott differently, but she didn't have a choice now. If she wanted to survive against Cora and Boyd, she had to transform. So she did.

Boyd charged at Scott and Alex, while Cora aimed for Derek. The three of them split up, dodging the attacks and fighting for their lives. Boyd managed to land a cracking blow to her ribcage, sending Alex tumbling to the ground again. She cried out, clutching her ribs as she pulled herself to her feet again. Derek had Cora pinned to the pillar, but as Alex looked for Scott, she saw Boyd have overpowered Scott and had him lifted in the air above his head. Scott groaned in pain and Alex gasped as she saw Boyd's claws sink into Scott's stomach.

Another figure appeared at the door, this one different. Allison. Alex had never met Allison, but Scott had sent her photo's of the two of them together.

"Boyd!" Allison yelled.

All eyes turned to Allison as she crouched down and extended her hand to the line of mountain ash.

"Allison, don't!" Derek yelled.

But it was too late. Allison swept her hand over the line of ash, breaking the barrier. Boyd launched Scott across the vault. While Derek was distracted, Cora was easily able to escape Derek's hold on her. Allison stepped aside as Cora and Boyd raced out of the vault. Alex hurried over to Scott, dropping to her knees beside him. She transformed back to human, as did Derek, and lifted Scott's head.

"Scott! Scott, can you hear me?" Alex cried.

Scott's eyes opened suddenly, and he sucked in a sharp breath. Now human again, Scott sat up and allowed Alex to help him to his feet again. The three of them then headed for the entrance, where Allison was waiting.

"Do you have any idea what you've just done?" Derek growled at Allison.

"Derek, she just saved our lives." Scott said, standing beside Allison.

"No, she just let two killing machines loose into the world!" Derek exclaimed.

"You wanna blame me? Well I'm not the one turning teenagers into killers." Allison argued.
