Derek.

Derek observed Alex. He could smell the anxiety radiating off her in waves. He then realised that this would be the first time Alex saw Peter since he attacked her. That he knew of anyway. It also made him wonder exactly what happened that night. Alex seemed to handle being a werewolf relatively well. So why was she so terrified of seeing Peter again? Before he could ask her any questions, Isaac arrived, followed by Stiles and Lydia.

"Did you find them?" Isaac asked as he sprinted across the loft towards them.

"No, that's why you're here." Derek said.

Isaac looked at Derek with confusion. Derek sighed and continued.

"We're going to tap into your memories."

"How?"

"That's what Peter's for." Derek said. "There's a method alpha's use to look into a persons memories. It hurts, but it works."

"So, why can't you do it? Why do we need Peter?" Scott said.

"I can't. I don't know how. Peter does." Derek explained.

Isaac shook his head. "Scott doesn't trust Peter, I trust Scott. Therefore, I don't trust Peter."

"Do you trust me?" Derek raised a brow.

"Yes." Isaac nodded. "But I still don't like Peter."

"Nobody likes Peter." Derek rolled his eyes.

Another voice suddenly entered the apartment, emerging from the shadows.

"While coming back from the dead may have left some of my senses somewhat impaired, my hearing still works." Peter said, walking slowly towards them. "I do hope that, whatever it is you have to say, you feel comfortable enough to say straight to my face."

Derek glared directly at his uncle. "We don't like you. Now shut up and help us."

Peter looked mildly offended but then rolled his eyes and let out a sigh. Before anyone could do anything else, however, Alex suddenly raced past Derek with a loud growl. Derek only just caught her, wrapping an arm around her waist to hold her back.

"You bastard!" Alex yelled, struggling against Derek.

Peter raised his brows in surprise. "You must be Alex."

Derek pulled her back and turned around so she was away from Peter. He looked down at her and whispered. "Calm down."

Alex took a deep breath and pushed Derek away from him. "He attacked my brother. And you want to work with him?"

"No. But he's our only option right now if I want to find the rest of my pack." Derek glared at her. "So control yourself before you ruin everything."

Alex returned his glare but walked away. She stood beside Scott, who placed a comforting hand on her arm and asked her if she was okay. Alex nodded, but Derek could still sense the anger radiating off her. He turned back to Peter.

"We need you to retrieve Isaac's memories." Derek said.

Peter looked thoughtful for a moment but eventually agreed. Isaac nervously sat down in a chair, his eyes flicking between Derek and Peter.

"So, how does this work?" Isaac asked.

Peter held up a hand with his claws extended. "These go in the back of your neck. It's an ancient ritual used mainly by alphas since it requires a lot of practice. One slip, and I could paralyze you or kill you."
